Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), Laura Wright (Carly) and a group of other "General Hospital" stars have released a happy holidays video to fans, that's filled with smiles, a little singing and a whole lot of cheer.
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and Pop announced today additional presenters for "The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards," including Tom Bergeron, Eileen Davidson, Kevin Frazier, Leeza Gibbons, Vicki Lawrence and Mario Lopez. They will be joined by the "Queens of Drama," the co-hosts of "The Talk," the co-hosts of the new lifestyle chat show "The FAB Life," and several other big stars from "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Days of our Lives," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless."
"The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards" will be telecast live exclusively on Pop on Sunday, April 26. As it gears up to broadcast its first major awards telecast with the "42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards" on Sunday, April 26, Pop has released the Daytime Emmy Nominee Reels for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Competing this year for the coveted trophy are Scott Clifton as Liam Spencer and Jacob Young as Rick Forrester, respectively, on "The Bold and the Beautiful," Chad Duell as Michael Corinthos on "General Hospital" and Kristoff St. John as Neil Winters on "The Young and the Restless."
Remember in 1998 when Carly (then played by Sarah Brown) stepped away from Michael's stroller for the tiniest of moments which led to his kidnapping by the hands of Tony Jones, who previously was led to believe Michael was his before Carly proclaimed the child to have been fathered by Jason? Fast forward to 2015, we find Sonny (Maurice Benard), seemingly in the Tony role, being kept away from his child by an all grown up Michael (Chad Duell), who tells his adopted father, "Step away from the stroller now" in this week's promo for ABC's "General Hospital."
ABC has confirmed that it will be recasting the contract role of Kiki Jerome on "General Hospital" with "The Young and the Restless" alum Hayley Erin (ex-Abby Newman). She is set to first air sometime in late February. Kristen Alderson, who originated the role, opted to leave when her contract was up earlier this month. She last airs in early February.
