Wednesday, April 22, 2015 3:11 PM EDT
The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and Pop announced today additional presenters for "The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards," including Tom Bergeron, Eileen Davidson, Kevin Frazier, Leeza Gibbons, Vicki Lawrence and Mario Lopez. They will be joined by the "Queens of Drama," the co-hosts of "The Talk," the co-hosts of the new lifestyle chat show "The FAB Life," and several other big stars from "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Days of our Lives," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless."
"The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards" will be telecast live exclusively on Pop on Sunday, April 26. Today, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and Pop announced the first round of presenters which includes cast members from "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Days of our Lives," "General Hospital," "The Young and the Restless," along with personalities Nancy O'Dell, Regis Philbin, Steve Harvey, Marie Osmond, Craig Ferguson, Shemar Moore and Alex Trebek.
As it gears up to broadcast its first major awards telecast with the "42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards" on Sunday, April 26, Pop has released the Daytime Emmy Nominee Reels for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Competing this year for the coveted trophy are Scott Clifton as Liam Spencer and Jacob Young as Rick Forrester, respectively, on "The Bold and the Beautiful," Chad Duell as Michael Corinthos on "General Hospital" and Kristoff St. John as Neil Winters on "The Young and the Restless."
Remember in 1998 when Carly (then played by Sarah Brown) stepped away from Michael's stroller for the tiniest of moments which led to his kidnapping by the hands of Tony Jones, who previously was led to believe Michael was his before Carly proclaimed the child to have been fathered by Jason? Fast forward to 2015, we find Sonny (Maurice Benard), seemingly in the Tony role, being kept away from his child by an all grown up Michael (Chad Duell), who tells his adopted father, "Step away from the stroller now" in this week's promo for ABC's "General Hospital."
ABC has confirmed that it will be recasting the contract role of Kiki Jerome on "General Hospital" with "The Young and the Restless" alum Hayley Erin (ex-Abby Newman). She is set to first air sometime in late February. Kristen Alderson, who originated the role, opted to leave when her contract was up earlier this month. She last airs in early February.
After joining the cast of ABC's "General Hospital" in the contract role of Starr Manning in 2012, which she originated in 1998 on "One Life to Live" when she was just 6 years old, Daytime Emmy Award winner Kristen Alderson (Kiki Jerome) has decided to leave the daytime drama series.
The wait is almost over for the premiere of the new original series, "GH Now," hosted by "General Hospital's" Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis). The series, which brings fans closer to their favorite Port Charles denizens than ever before, is set to premiere on and the WATCH ABC app on Monday, January 12 with the first three of six episodes, reports TVLine.
It's "General Hospital" like you've never seen before when Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis Davis on the soap, takes viewers behind the scenes of daytime's most dynamic soap opera via her new series, "General Hospital Now," which the actress had been teasing on social media for several weeks.
