It's "General Hospital" like you've never seen before when Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis Davis on the soap, takes viewers behind the scenes of daytime's most dynamic soap opera via her new ABC.com series, "General Hospital Now," which the actress had been teasing on social media for several weeks. "Now" is described as a show about Grahn's daytime drama series “with a big dose of funny or die or be in a coma." Set to premiere in January 2015, earlier today ABC released the first promo of the series on ABC.com.
If things look a little bit different around here it's because things are different. As promised on our social networks, we have been working very hard behind the scenes leading up to this Thanksgiving holiday weekend to bring you the best user experience at Soap Opera Network, which not only includes the most up-to-date soap opera related content, but also a more visually appealing layout with page speed in mind. As a result of our new design, there will be plenty of new features we'll be able to play around with that'll provide our readers with the best presentation of our content, including this puppy.
If you tuned into the Friday, October 24 episode of ABC's "General Hospital," you may have noticed a familiar face with a new do. Actress Kelly Sullivan returned as the spirit of Connie Falconeri, who was murdered last year by Ava Jerome (Maura West), in scenes with Maurice Benard's Sonny Corinthos. The return of a normally blonde Sullivan to "GH" comes just days before the actress is set to make her debut as a brunette Sage Warner on CBS' "The Young and the Restless."
“One Life to Live” fans had the privilege of literally watching Kristen Alderson grow up via her portrayal of Starr Manning, a role she landed back in 1998. And “General Hospital” fans then had the unique privilege of watching the actress shed the character she’d played for nearly 14 years on OLTL and embody her new character — Kiki Jerome — right before their eyes. The journey has been filled with a lot of ups and downs, but Alderson recently shared with Soap Opera Network that Kiki is finally coming into her own — which she couldn’t be more thrilled about!
With photography by Brad Everett Young, several of daytime's hottest young stars including "General Hospital's" Kristen Alderson (Kiki), Chad Duell (Michael), Ryan Carnes (Lucas), Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix) and Ian Buchanan (Duke), "Days of our Lives'" Brendan Coughlin (T), Allison Paige (Bev), Guy Wilson (Will), Jen Lilley (Theresa), Billy Flynn (Chad), Casey Moss (JJ) and Kevin Riggin (Rory), and "The Young and the Restless'" Camryn Grimes (Mariah), along with stars from "Baby Daddy" (Derek Theleer), "Teen Wolf" (Stephen Lunsford) and "Power Rangers," have taken part in the Dream Loud campaign that hopes to bring music and the arts programs back into schools. "Port Charles" alum Brian Gaskill is also featured in the campaign, among countless others.
Soap Opera Network's coverage of the red carpet during the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards continues, this time with "General Hospital's" Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos), who was nominated for Outstanding Younger Actor. He didn't end up taking home the Emmy at the end of the night, but he shined like a winner anyway!
Soap Opera Network's coverage of the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards red carpet continues this week, starting with "General Hospital's" Kristen Alderson (Kiki Jerome), who was nominated for Outstanding Younger Actress. "The Young and the Restless'" Hunter King (Summer Newman) ended up taking home the Emmy, but as you'll see below, Alderson couldn't have been happier for her counterpart!
In 2013, "Days of our Lives'" Chandler Massey (ex-Will Horton), "General Hospital's" Bryan Craig (Morgan Corinthos) and Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos) and "The Young and the Restless'" Max Ehrich (Fenmore Baldwin) and Daniel Polo (ex-Jamie Vernon) proved they were the outstanding younger gentlemen for their respective daytime dramas. They now compete with each other to find out which of them was the most Outstanding Younger Actor in a Daytime Drama Series during "The 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards."
On today's episode of ABC's "General Hospital," the tradition of the Nurses Ball continues with yet another male stripstease. Like last year, Milo (Drew Cheetwood) once again led some of the show's hottest men, or "Magic Milo and the Magic Wands" as Lucy (Lynn Herring) excitedly referred them as, in a dance routine choreographed to AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long." While there was some stiff competition amongst the characters in terms of who had the better stripper pose, the ladies in attendance sure had a good time either way as evidenced by Felicia (Kristina Wagner) chanting, "What a waist. What a chest. What an ass," after an annoyed Levi (Zachary Garred) commented, "This is so tacky. Does a charity really need this? What a waste."
