Soap fans can hardly keep a lid on the excitement that’s been building for the premiere of Lifetime’s soapy series, “Devious Maids,” a dramady starring Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramírez, Roselyn Sánchez, Edy Ganem and Judy Reyes as five maids who have dreams and ambitions of their own, even though they work for wealthy bosses like Genevieve Delacourt (Susan Lucci, ex-Erica Kane, “All My Children”). And perhaps the excitement inspired the producers over at ABC’s “20/20,” as the news magazine program is premiering a special episode detailing the lives of some real-life help of super rich families!

“All My Children’s” Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane) has been given the moniker “Queen of Soaps,” but with some recent moves by the production team behind her new series, “Devious Maids,” she just may be called “Queen of Telenovelas,” too!

In order to appeal to a Latino audience, the pilot for the Marc Cherry and Eva Longoria (ex-Isabella Williams, “The Young and the Restless”) co-executive produced series — which was created by Cherry and is based on Televisa’s hit telenovela “Ellas Son La Alegría Del Hoga” — will be available via digital platforms prior to its Sunday, June 23 Lifetime premiere in both English and Spanish (meaning yes, we’ll get to see what it look like for Lucci to speak the language of love)! Plus, following the network premiere, each following episode of the show will be available in both languages on myLifetime.com, Lifetime’s Video Watch app and A + E Network’s distribution partners’ Video On Demand services, sites and apps the day after its 10PM time slot.

With just one month left before the premiere of Lifetime’s “Devious Maids,” the cable network has released key art material highlighting Ana Ortiz (“Ugly Betty”), Dania Ramirez (“Entourage”), Roselyn Sanchez (“Without a Trace”), Edy Ganem (“Livin’ Loud”) and Judy Reyes(“Scrubs”) as five ambitious maids who, while working for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills, dream of wealthy lives of their own. Sadly, murder is at the center of their world as one of their fellow maids is murdered and the quintet makes it their mission to find out who committed the heinous crime.

“Maids” also stars Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane, “All My Children”), Matt Cedeno (ex-Brandon Walker, “Days of our Lives”) and Brianna Brown (ex-Lisa Niles, “General Hospital”). Look for the series to premiere Sunday, June 23 at 10:00 PM ET on Lifetime.

Deadline is reporting that former “Days of our Lives” star Matt Cedeno (ex-Brandon Walker) has landed a recurring role on Lifetime’s “Devious Maids,” which stars Susan Lucci (“All My Children“), Ana Ortiz (“Ugly Betty“), Roselyn Sanchez (“Without a Trace”), Grant Show (“Melrose Place“) and Brianna Brown (“General Hospital“). Cedeno is said to be featured in the tweaked pilot, which was originally conceived as a possible series for ABC during last seasons development cycle, and will likely be upped to series regular if the show is picked up by Lifetime for a second season. Cedeno will play the role of Alejandro Reyes, “a successful recording artist. Back home after three long months on tour, Alejandro wants to lounge by the pool – while behind his back, Odessa and the new maid Carmen are maneuvering themselves for Total War.”
