It seems everyone is hopping aboard the healthy living train these days, and the cast of “Days of our Lives” isn’t excluded: Several of the sudser’s stars have opened up and shared their secrets on how to live a healthier and more balanced life for the show’s newest book, Better Living: Cast Secrets for a Healthier Balanced Life, which hits newsstands on Tuesday, September 24! And with just 19 more days to go until the big day, several of the stars featured are gearing up for a national tour to promote the book that they’re hoping will change your lives forever!
As previously reported, "Days of our Lives" stars Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady) and Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady) are starring in the Hallmark Channel original movie, "Second Chances." The network recently released the first promo for the film, which premieres on Saturday, July 27.

They portray "twins" on NBC's "Days of our Lives," although Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady) and Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady) are anything but that in Hallmark Channel's "Second Chances." Premiering Saturday, July 27, the TV movie tells the story of 911 operator Jenny McLean (Sweeney), who along with her two kids, Luke (Benjamin Stockham) and Elsie (Charlotte Labadie), take in firefighter Jeff Sinclair (Vaughan) after he is injured on the job and the family is in desperate need of extra income as a result of Jenny’s work hours having been recently cut. As Jeff and Jenny find themselves drawn together due to circumstances beyond their control, they begin to wonder where their mutual attraction will take them.
She’s been with some of Salem’s most prominent men, but is “Days of our Lives’” Samantha (Alison Sweeney) tough enough to handle late night talk show host Jay Leno? That was the question when the “The Tonight Show” host ran over to the “DOOL” set to profess his love for Sami!

As expected, NBC has renewed "Days of our Lives" through September 2014. The news comes just days after NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said, “I think ‘DAYS’ is going to stick around,” during NBC's portion of the Television Critics Association winter press tour. “I don’t know that I’m at liberty to say that officially yet, but it’s not going anywhere," Greenblatt added. The "DAYS" renewal was announced today by Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment.
Unless you've been living under a rock lately, you're likely already aware that Greg Vaughan (ex-Lucky Spencer, "General Hospital") is joining "Days of our Lives" as a recast Eric Brady. What you didn't know was his first airdate, or his characters new holy profession. Say what?
Best known for his portrayal of Lucky Spencer on ABC's "General Hospital," actor Greg Vaughan has joined the cast of NBC's "Days of our Lives" in the contract role of Eric Brady. Vaughan tweeted a picture of his first day arriving at the shows Burbank Studio lot on Wednesday, August 8, where he said to his followers, "Here's to to new beginnings's!!"
Although Soap Opera Digest has since "confirmed" their story on the ouster of several "Days of our Lives" stars with a show representative, according to its website, one actress appears to not have been told as the magazine stated. In fact, it looks like if the firings do hold, actress Sarah Brown (Madison James) has not been told by her bossess of any change to her status with the NBC daytime soap.
The issue with Sweeney on the cover hit newsstands today.

On Friday, July 29, talk show host Nate Berkus ("The Nate Berkus Show") was captured by "Good Day LA" cameras and reporter Gina Silva while he was on the set of "Days of our Lives" filming scenes for an upcoming appearance on the NBC soap. While production was halted for the live interview, viewers got their first glimpse at Sarah Brown with newly cut hair before she even debuts as Madison James on Tuesday, October 4.
