THIS WEEK ON: ONE LIFE TO LIVE

Surrounded by dozens of reporters on Tuesday, November 24, newly elected Llanview Mayor Viki announces she is resigning from office because of family obligations. At La Boulaie, Dorian is forced to accept the fact that she lost the election. Realizing that her mother is feeling depressed, Langston encourages her to fly to London to see David. Taking her daughter’s advice, Dorian prepares to leave town. However, just as she is about to depart, she receives word that Viki has stepped down. Faced with choice between love and power, Dorian decides to remain in Llanview on Wednesday, November 25, upon learning that she has been named as Viki’s successor. Elsewhere, Kyle likes it when Fish calls him his boyfriend. Rex, Gigi, Shane, Moe, and Noelle surprise Viki and her family on Thanksgiving when they show up at Llanfair with food. In the spirit of the hoilday, and realizing it is a difficult time for Viki, Dorian also stops by along with Starr, Cole, and Hope. At the same time, Mr. and Mrs. Evans, Destiny, and Shaun visit the Buchanans. And Cristian, Layla, Fish, and Kyle gather to celebrate the holiday as well. Clint understands that Bo and Nora would like to be with Matthew, and arranges for the whole clan to take the B.E. jet to Seattle. Upon arriving at the hospital, Matthew’s loved ones are overjoyed when he begins to have some feeling in his legs.

Thanksgiving Day encore of 10/09/09 episode

Blair crashes Dorian’s press conference by falling out a window. Dorian and Todd receive good news when Greg informs them that her injuries are minor. A woman on a mission, Téa plows past Fish in her rush to get to the hospital, fearful that Blair will reveal her secret to Todd. Matthew surprises his parents when he tells them that he has located another doctor in Seattle that has agreed to operate on him. David reluctantly agrees to go along with Dorian and Amelia’s ploy to get votes. And Todd is summoned to Blair’s hospital room.

The Inside Story: Chip Off the Old Block

Todd rescues Téa from a violent Ross and begins asking her about Danielle on Monday, November 23. However, the teen walks in just as Téa is about to confess the truth. Fortunately, however, Todd begins to piece together the puzzle, and refuses to allow Ross to leave with the girl. By Tuesday, November 24, Danielle does not accept the fact that her “father” roughed up her mother, and blames the incident on Todd. When the police arrive, Danielle claims that Todd and Téa attempted to kidnap her. Arrested, and on their way to the police station for questioning, Téa confirms Todd’s assumption that Danielle is really his daughter.

A Closer Look: Baby Blues

Schuyler observes Kim adjusting Stacy’s pregnancy padding, and realizes that someone other than Rex must be the father of her unborn baby. Thinking on her feet, Kim tells Schuyler that the baby is his. On Monday, November 23, the strippers work to convince a suspicious Schuyler that he slept with Stacy, which resulted in her getting pregnant. And, as if that wasn’t enough, they also tell him that it is best for everyone involved that Rex continue to think that the baby is his. If the truth were to come out, Stacy and Kim argue, Gigi would turn her back on him. On Tuesday, November 24, Schuyler, against his better judgment, agrees to keep his mouth shut about the baby, so long as Stacy and Kim keep the secret that Gigi spent the night in his room. Also, Roxy is heartbroken when both Natalie and Rex sever ties with her. Mitch composes a cryptic letter to Jessica, and has one of his thugs move forward with his plan. Natalie urges Rex not to confront his father. Later, Bo raises Rex’s spirits by telling him that he is a better man than Mitch will ever be. And on Wednesday, November 25, Rex puts aside his anger and reaches out to his mother in the spirit of Thanksgiving.

IT HAPPENED TODAY… “The Seven Year Mitch”

Danielle and Matthew share a goodbye kiss. Rachel panics when she encounters Todd at the Seattle hospital. Danielle comes face to face with Todd when she emerges from Matthew’s room.

Ross becomes increasingly threatening as he demands Téa tell him where Danielle is. Backed into a corner, Téa confesses the truth and tells a disbelieving Ross that he isn’t Danielle’s father. Blair stuns Dorian with the news that Todd has a daughter with Téa.

With Brody by her side, Jessica confronts Mitch in his jail cell in Napa but doesn’t get the answers she was looking for. Natalie’s grief pours out in a flood of rage as she blames John for Jared’s death. Natalie regrets the choices she made while Jared was alive and realizes her actions contributed to his death as well.

IT HAPPENED TODAY… “Dare I Weep, Dare I Mourn”

Viki, Charlie, Clint and Natalie return to Llanview. Viki tries to console an agonized Charlie when he blames his alcoholism for Jared’s death. Natalie fantasizes that Jared is in bed next to her as she falls asleep. Marty refuses to allow John to feel responsible for Jared’s death. John and Marty tenderly make love. John awakes to knocking at his door and faces an angry Natalie.

Blair’s surprised that Todd hasn’t raced off to Seattle to find Téa. Todd tells Blair he’s going to take her advice and forget about Téa. Blair admits she has feelings for Todd and they’re soon kissing madly. Blair pulls back from lovemaking when she realizes Todd’s heart and mind are with Téa, not her. Blair tells Todd to go to Seattle and settle things with Téa once and for all.

Danielle insists on saying goodbye to Matthew before Téa forces her to leave Seattle with her. Téa’s shocked to find Ross waiting for her in her hotel room. Rachel and Greg offer to stay in Seattle after Matthew convinces Bo and Nora to return to Llanview for Jared’s funeral.

Roscoe Born (Mitch Laurence) previews the latest edition of “More Life to Live” deleted scenes, which features Aunt Corrine explaining her recent actions to Rex; Gigi and Schuyler talking about voting, only to have her blow him off; John and Brody discussing Mitch Laurence while on a plane from Michigan to Napa; Viki and Charlie wondering why Jessica and Natalie would be in Napa; Charlie trying to reassure Viki;  and Bo & Nora supporting one another while  at the hospital in Seattle awaiting the results of Matthew’s surgery.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — David and Kevin return, Starr faces some grown-up decisions, Nick finds himself in danger, Mary Ryan directs an episode, David Gregory’s latest status with the soap, the All-American Rejects prepare to rock UltraViolet, and a song from a recent episode is revealed, all in this edition of Llanview Gossip.

Dan Gauthier and Tuc Watkins reprise the roles of Kevin Buchanan and David Vickers on Monday, November 30th, when the two have a cousin-to-cousin talk at the Buchanan clan’s London compound.  During the exchange, David accidentally reveals something about his Pa and Aunt Nora.  But how will Kevin react?

Kristen Alderson (Starr) tweeted on Sunday that “Uh oh!! Starr’s turning 18…I’m reading scenes where Starr’s making some grown up decisions. =) Should be fun to film.”

While Nick Chavez (Nicholas Rodriguez) will be around as Dorian is being sworn in as Mayor on December 2nd, it is what happens after the fact that brings the character back to the forefront.  Here’s a hint….think back to a tweet by Scott Clifton (Schuyler) on September 30th, where he posted a picture of himself  in his “bruise” makeup, and to a recent post by Erinn Holmes (who will portray an ER Nurse next month) on her website, where she said that she had taped scenes with Nick and Marty (Susan Haskell).  Nick, along with a few other brave folks (Schuyler, Gigi, and Amelia), stand up to some people who don’t agree with his views on certain issues.  Later, he finds himself in grave danger. 

Mary Ryan will direct the December 2nd episode of “OLTL,” according to IMDb.com.  The website also reports that David Gregory, who is slated to return in next month as David’s former reality show producer Ford, signed a one-year contract with “One Life.” 

According to spoiler pictures posted on the “OLTL” page at ABC Medianet, fans can expect the following characters to attend the upcoming All-American Rejects concert at UltraViolet on December 4th and 7th: Rex, Shane, Starr, Cole, Langston, Markko, Fish, Kyle, Stacy, and Kim.  The group will perform ”Mona Lisa” and “I Wanna” from their new album “When the World Comes Down.”  

“OLTL” Supervising Music Director Paul S. Glass identifies the song used in the montage at the end of Tuesday’s episode as “Turn Around” by Justin Rutledge and Carina Round. 

And, in case you missed him, Michael Emery portrayed a Napa cop on Tuesday.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — The election is over, and a winner has been announced. However that’s only half the story.

In recent weeks, Viki Banks (Erika Slezak) and Dorian Cramer Lord (Robin Strasser) have been enthralled in a grueling campaign to become Llanview’s next mayor. On November 3rd, voters headed to the polls to decide which woman was more qualified to lead their fair city. For a time, the race was too close to call. The number of votes was separating the candidates required an automatic recount, and then another, and finally another. When the dust settled, it was learned that the election was decided by a single vote. Viki had squeezed out the victory and was certified as Llanview’s Mayor-Elect.

But just when you thought the storyline was over comes a new twist. On Tuesday, November 24th, the newspaper publisher is bombarded by reporters who ask her to comment on her recent victory. But instead of outlining her agenda once sworn in, she delivers a shocking announcement. Seems that the recent hell her family has been through, what with the return of Mitch Laurence, the death of her son-in-law, her daughter’s stalking, and the reveal of a shocking secret from her husband’s past, has been weighing very heavily on her mind. Realizing that her family needs her now, and that her full attention would not be focused on the new job, Viki regretfully abdicates her new political office.

Meanwhile her former political opponent, finally accepting defeat, decides to fly across the “big pond” to the U.K. and surprise her former lover in London. However, just as Dorian is about to leave town to visit David, word reaches her of Viki’s decision and that she has been designated as next in line. Dorian must now choose between love and power, which comes naturally for her. Soon thereafter, she rallies her girls and they stop by Llanfair on Thanksgiving to reach out to Viki and her family in their difficult time.

On Tuesday, December 2nd, Dorian becomes the center of attention (and loves every minute of it) as she prepares to take the oath of office, while her family looks on. Also in attendance are the Llanview City Clerk (Marissa Vitali) and Pennsylvania Attorney General Gallagher (Wayne Maugans). Look for the Attorney General and the new Mayor to have a disagreement concerning her decision to legalize same sex marriages in Llanview. But will Dorian stand up for the cause or cave under pressure?

Vitali comments on her official website that she will appear in only one episode, while Maugans is expected to appear at least twice.

IT HAPPENED TODAY… “Hold the Phone!”

Bo and Nora are on the verge of making love but stop themselves as they remember the pain they felt when Nora cheated and neither wants to inflict that on Clint.

Rachel encourages Téa to tell Todd the truth about Danielle. Téa’s surprised to hear from Todd, who’s about to tell her he still cares for her until Blair snatches the phone from his hand. Todd imagines its Téa in his arms as he dances with Blair.

John and Brody stop Charlie from strangling Mitch to death. John gets the rug pulled out from under him when the local detectives inform him that Mitch is going to be prosecuted there for the crimes he committed and won’t be extradited to Llanview. Gigi assures Rex that the fact that Mitch is his father doesn’t change the kind of good, decent man that Rex is. Gigi shows Rex the sonogram of Stacy’s baby and urges him to focus on the future.

Stacy and Kim overhear Roxy chewing out Schuyler over the fact Gigi spent the night in his room. Kim plans on getting a job at Buchanan Enterprises in order to get her hooks into Clint.

On the Next One Life to Live…

• Natalie has thoughts of Jared.
• John and Marty make love.
• Téa finds an unwelcomed guest in her hotel room.
