OTHIS MAKES NO SENSE. KENDALL OR DAVID OF AMC SUPPORTING? THEY ARE ON DAILY. KENDALL IS EVERYWHRE AND SHOULD GET LEAD ACTRESS, SHE IS IN CATEGORY WITH TAMARA BRAUN WHO I LOVE BUT WAS ON FOR 6 MONTHS. SHE WAS A SUPPORTING CHARACTER NOT A LEAD. THEY SHOULD LEARN TO DEFNE WHAT EXACTLY A LEAD IS. Y AND R HAS A GOOD PICK AGAIN WITH KATHERINE FOR LEAD ACTRESS. GREAT JOB AND SHOULD WIN THAT ONE. I DON'T KNOW HOW OLTL DIDN'T GET ON FOR BEST SHOW BUT B AND B DID. DO THEY SPIN A BOTTLE AND POINT FOR NOMINATIONS FOR WHAT? LOOKS LIKE THEY WERE DESPERATE FOR YOUNGER ACTORS AND ACTRESSES MAXIE AND LULU ONLY GOOD CANDIDATES FOR ACTRESSES. I CAN'T SAY FOR GUIDING LIGHT DON'T SEE IT MUCH BUT POSSIBLY BEST WOULD BE FRANKIE FROM GUIDING LIGHT. WHERE IS SUSAN LUCCI?

I am surprised to see that Tamara Braun got nominated in the Supporting Actress category for her short lived work on "Days of our Lives" as Ava Vitali even though she didn't last that long from February to August 2008.

What happened with House? Grey's Anatomy? Lost? Heroes?

And what about Hugh Laurie and all the good actors?

WTF are this nominations about?

I have never seen more talented actresses than Kim Zimmer (Reva Shayne) and Gina Tognoni (Dinah Marler). Marcy Rylan (Lizzie Spaulding) should have gotten in too. I believe Guiding Light stars are getting ripped off since CBS cancelled the show. CBS YOU SUCK & I'VE BEEN TOLD NO ONE IS GOING TO WATCH CBS AT ALL. If they want to see any shows, they will set their DVR to tape NCIS, etc. Very unhappy!

One Life To Live was definitely snubbed in the Lead Category. Consistantly good writing and acting. SNUBBED! And give me a break...what qualifies "younger actor/actress"?

They did awesome on AMC. In fact, for the past few months they were the ONLY reason some fans tuned into AMC...They had the most believeable storyline!

I have to say that I am so happy to see that Tamara Braun was nominated for Ava on DOOL.. And for everyone who is blasting cause she was only short lived character on DOOL.. Needs to be reminded that it isn't the quanity of someone work but the quality.Ellen Burstyn got a Golden Globe Nomination one year for a movie she only had 2 lines in..

Anna-
These nominations are for DAYTIME television. The ones you asked about, "House," "Grey's Anatomy", etc. would be a part of the Primetime Emmys that happen later in the year.

So much for spreading the love. In the past years, it has seemed that the awards were focused much more at spreading the love around between the shows and the networks (granted the only show left on NBC is DOOL so networks is harder to do at this point). This list seems to completely favor certain shows in certain categories. I am in favor of a 1 nomination per show approach.

Brenda, while I understand your pain (I was a major Another World fan) what I can tell you is that over the years you forgive the network for canceling your favorite show but you never forget the show. When they canceled AW, everyone said they wouldn't watch Passions either and most ended up watching it anyways. Of course, in the case of NBC, they are pretty much becoming a talk show network, and the only thing they still put out that is worth watching is SVU anyways.

I think that canceling the Guilding Light is a big mistake. I will not watch whatever they put in its place. I have watched the Guilding Light for a long time now as has my mother, sisters, and my own children. We all love the show. What are they doing all this for? A younger crowd? But the must know that the shows our mothers watch are the same that we or our children watch. They will be losing alot of viewers. Hope one of the other channels pick it up so they can get the viewers.
