It’s only been a few weeks since Brandon Barash announced that he was ending his six-year stint on ABC’s “General Hospital” as Johnny Zacchara and the actor already has a primetime role in the works: He’ll be playing a stripper on FOX’s crime comedy-drama, “Bones”!

A rep confirms to Soap Opera Network that in the episode (appropriately titled “The Party in the Pants”), Barash portrays a good-looking yet aging exotic dancer who previously helped the episode’s victim get into stripping. Read More >>

Trevor St. John is returning to Lifetime’s “The Client List” and he’s ready to start some trouble. In the season two premiere episode entitled “‘Till I Can Make it on My Own,” which airs Sunday, March 10 and picks up where the season one finale left off last June, St. John’s character, Officer Nathan Young, finds himself interrupting Riley (Jennifer Love Hewitt) and Kyle (Brian Hallisay) as Riley is about to reveal her little secret to her husband.

Larry Hagman, best known for such iconic roles as Major Tony Nelson on “I Dream of Jeannie” and J.R. Ewing on “Dallas,” has died, reports The Dallas Morning News. The actor, 81, died at 4:20 PM local time earlier today.

Reportedly, members of Hagman’s family stated the cause of death as complications from his recent battle with cancer.

A native of Texas himself, Hagman portrayed the legendary Ewing character from 1978 to 1991 on CBS and again this past summer after TNT rebooted the series for a new generation. Hagman returned along side original co-stars Patrick Duffy and Linda Gray. The second season of the TNT incarnation, which Hagman had been filming, is set to premiere in January.

“Larry was back in his beloved Dallas, re-enacting the iconic role he loved most,” said the actors family in a statement. “Larry’s family and close friends had joined him in Dallas for the Thanksgiving holiday. When he passed, he was surrounded by loved ones. It was a peaceful passing, just as he had wished for. The family requests privacy at this time.”

Fans of NBC’s “Smash” have waited months anticipating the new season of their favorite musical drama series and now the network has compiled together a number of clips to present a music video with lead vocals by recent addition Jennifer Hudson to tide them over.

Former “All My Children” star T.C. Warner (ex-Kelsey Jefferson) has joined the cast of the NBC pilot “After Hours,” which centers on a group of Army doctors who work the night shift in the emergency room at San Antonio Medical Center. The series is described as a cross between “ER” and “Mash,” with storylines loosely based on true incidents that have occurred at a real-life hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Warner will portray Amy Budden, a nurse at the hospital.

On the Monday, November 19 episode of “How I Met Your Mother,” entitled “The Stamp Tramp,” Joe Manganiello (“True Blood“) returns for another stint as Marshall’s (Jason Segal) old law school classmate Brad. In the episode, Marshall finds out Brad lost his job as a lawyer two years ago after his company downsized. Hoping to help Brad out, Marshall cleans him up just in time for a job interview at Marshall’s firm. Unfortunately for Marshall, Brad screws things up and Marhsall has to do damage control with his boss.

According to a report by Deadline.com‘s Nellie Andreeva, CBS has canceled freshman comedy “Partners” after the program hit a new series low in the coveted Adults 18-49 demo (1.8 rating) this past Monday. The series starred Brandon Routh (“One Life to Live”), Michael Urie (“Ugly Betty”), David Krumholtz (“Numb3rs”) and Sophia Bush (“One Tree Hill”). The series was based on the lives of creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick as two life-long friends and business partners whose “bromance” is put to the test when one of them becomes engaged.

Sunday, September 23 marks ABC’s turn to host the “The Primetime Emmy Awards” (now in its 64th year) and in honored tradition the network will also be airing the pre-show, “Emmys Red Carpet Live.” This year the red carpet festivities will be hosted by the network’s Josh Elliott and Lara Spencer (“Good Morning America” and “Good Afternoon America“), Chris Harrison (“The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette“) and Clinton Kelly (“The Chew“).

The quad will chat live from the red carpet with some of the biggest primetime stars as they arrive at the Nokia Theatre L.A LIVE. Elliott and Harrison will interview the stars and discuss the nominees, while Kelly and Spencer will also conduct interviews with a touch of Emmy fashion.

“Emmys Red Carpet Live” airs Sunday, September 23 from 7:00-8:00 PM ET/4:00-5:00 PM PT on ABC. “The 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards,” hosted by Jimmy Kimmel,” airs immediately afterward from 8:00-11:00 PM ET/5:00-8:00 PM PT.
