Sonny’s horrified to realize he’s shot his own son. Olivia and Sonny work valiantly to keep Dante alive until the paramedics arrive to whisk him to the hospital. Lulu fears the worst when neither Sonny nor Dante show up at Josslyn’s christening. Lulu makes a grisly discovery when she goes to Sonny’s looking for Dante. Sonny tells a barely conscious Dante that they’re father and son, which Olivia overhears. Carly finds a DVD sent by Franco among Josslyn’s christening presents. Robin’s taken aback to learn that Patrick has known Dante is Sonny’s son for quite awhile and never told her. On the Next General Hospital...Jason urges Sonny to flee the country. Johnny stands by Olivia in her time of need. Dante's life is on the line."General Hospital" airs Weekdays on ABC....

The ABC soap will begin moving the week of February 8th, and will start taping in their new home on Monday, February 16th. However, given the show's production schedule, episodes shot at the new studios are not expected to air around early April. After "All My Children" left the Big Apple for Los Angeles on December 11th, there had been some speculation as to the fate of "OLTL" when it was announced that the show would not immediately move into to their sister soap's old digs. However, the reason for the delay was reported to be due to a contractual issue between "AMC" union crew members and ABC. The network is said to be considering turning "OLTL's" current studios into offices. Word of the impending move...

Two former cast members are still missed, and an anniversary of an event most would rather forget. I cannot believe it has already been a year since the devastating ice storm that hit much of central Kentucky. I can still vividly remember going nearly a week without electricity or watching "One Life to Live." I also recall all the news/previews/columns I had to catch up on when I was able to finally return to SON afterwards. There were several news stories that came and went while I was literally and figuratively in the dark. Most were minor, however two continue to leave ripples throughout the canvas one year later. Of course I am referring to the untimely deaths of long-time "One Life" veteran cast members Phil Carey and Clint...

Slezak on the Mend Following Surgery

On behalf of Erika, thank you all for your well wishes," wrote her fan club president on the actress' official website earlier this morning. SON first broke the news a few weeks ago that Slezak, who has portrayed Viki on "OLTL" since 1971, was taking some time off from the show to have the painful operation.  "Erika shared that she will be having back surgery at the end of January, and in Llanview, Viki will take a trip to London to cover Erika's absence. The surgery will correspond with the 'OLTL' studio move, and Erika hopes to return to the new studio within a month. We will keep you posted on her...
