In a not so surprising development, is reporting that CBS' "The Bold and the Beautiful" has dropped veteran actor Winsor Harmon (Thorne Forrester) to recurring status.Harmon, who joined the cast of the drama series in December 1996, has had relatively nothing to do on the soap since his character's relationship with Katherine Kelly Lang's Brooke Forrester fizzled some years back, which was expected as Brooke's world always revolved around Thorne's older brother Ridge Forrester (Ronn Moss) anyway.Prior to joining the cast of "The Bold and the Beautiful," Harmon enjoyed a successful run on the ABC soap "All My Children" as Del Henry, Dixie Cooney's (Cady McClain) brother, from 1994-1995. The actor exited along-side Sarah Michelle Gellar, who originated the role of Kendall Hart, when she left the soap in order to pursue a career in primetime and movies. Gellar got her big break courtesy of a little show...

Beginning Tuesday, June 15, look for Hasselhoff to kick off a five episode stint on the show when Snapper returns to Genoa City to take care of his ailing mother, Liz (Julianna McCarthy), and catch up with his sister Jill (Jess Walton) and friend of the family, Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper). My View of Llanview: May 30 Edition

Photo: Errol Lewis/SONSunday, May 30, 2010 12:01 AM ET | By Scotty Gore ( — Like Momma always says "If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all." I'm sure some of you are expecting this column to lengthy, in depth, and opinion filled. If so, then I'm sorry but you're mistaken. Two things are preventing me from making this particular edition of the column all of the things mentioned above. The first is a result of time constraints. I have a dozen things going on this holiday weekend, and I just simply don't have the time to set down and compose a rather drawn out column. And second, even if I did, there is very, very little on the show right now that is even worth mentioning. And I would rather not get on my soapbox and rant and rave about how much "One Life to Live" stinks...

Friday, May 28, 2010 at 10:15 PM ET by Errol LewisPhoto: SOAPnet( -- The year 2012 isn't just the end of the Mayan calendar, it is the end of an era for soap operas as well. When SOAPnet launched on January 20, 2000, it was always assumed that it would be where many soaps would transition to as the broadcast networks decided that soaps no longer fit their brand. Unfortunately, on May 26, 2010, it was announced that that wouldn't be the case for "All My Children," "Days of our Lives," "General Hospital," "One Life to Live," or "The Young and the Restless" as the network that airs same day episodes of each becomes no more. SOAPnet, which just achieved carriage in 75 million cable homes earlier this year, will be replaced by Disney Junior, the 3rd American iteration of the popular Disney Channel cable network, in 2012. Anne Sweeney, co-chair,...
