OLTL PreVUE: Week of January 25 Edition

THIS WEEK ON: ONE LIFE TO LIVE

Natalie’s therapy session with Marty becomes heated when John’s name is mentioned on Monday, January 25. Meanwhile, John is held at the police station, thus preventing him from helping track down Jessica. Natalie promises to help John bust out of jail. However, Brody promises Natalie that he and John already have a plan in place to free him from prison. Marty expresses her concern to Dr. Levin that John and Natalie may rekindle their relationship. John and Brody put their bold plan into action on Friday, January 29. Elsewhere in Llanview, Blair tells Ford that she’s on to him after catching him kissing Langston. And Greg and Rachel are forced to postpone their romantic evening on Tuesday, January 26.

The Inside Story: The Chosen One

Brody and Viki are certain that one of Mitch’s thugs is to blame for Jessica’s sudden disappearance. Kim puts the moves the Clint, only to be interrupted by Nora who informs them of Jessica’s kidnapping on Tuesday, January 26. At the same time, Stacy grows agitated when Bo breaks the news to Rex, just as she was trying to get closer to him. Rex then relays the news to Gigi, who is touched when Schuyler cooks them a romantic dinner. Fearing for Shane’s safety, Rex and Gigi decide to let Bo and Nora take him to the Buchanan Ranch in Texas, and say an emotional farewell to their son. Furthermore, Clint and Viki take Bo up on his offer of taking Bree to the ranch as well. By Wednesday, January 27, Brody gets a step closer to finding Jessica after having the forensics lab analyze Mitch’s letter to her. Meanwhile, Jessica is mortified when Mitch tells her that she will raise Stacy’s baby as her own, since he is the “chosen one.” Charlie is determine to murder Mitch in cold blood upon learning that he has Jessica, and returns to Llanfair where he comes face-to-face with Viki. Stacy works to convince Fish that the baby is not his. On Thursday, January 28th, Jessica continues to fight the effects of the drugs Nurse Charles injected her with, as Mitch outlines his diabolical plans for both her and Stacy’s baby. As she begins to lose consciousness, Jessica vows to never forget her family or do his dirty work. Schuyler passes the point of no return when he obtains the oxytocin for Stacy. However, he forces her to name him as the baby’s guardian and allow him to administer the drug himself when she fakes labor pains. Meanwhile, Dorian develops a new strategy regarding Mitch, following a conversation with Rex. Charlie begins to reach out to Viki, only to suddenly leave to secretly rendezvous with Dorian. Mitch offers no regret or remorse for resorting to such drastic lengths to get Jessica under his control. Dorian informs Charlie that Stacy will their bait in silencing Mitch permanently. And, making some progress with Rex, Stacy fakes going into labor on Friday, January 29. However, Stacy wonders if their is any possibility of them ever being anything more.

A Closer Look: Sisterly Love

Todd and Téa are relieved learn that Danielle is at Starr and Cole’s apartment. While Danielle agrees to talk to her mother, she makes it clear that she wants absolutely nothing to do with her father, which leaves Todd heartbroken. On Monday, January 25, Téa agrees to let Danielle stay with Starr for the time-being. Starr, meanwhile, urges her father to give her new sister breathing room and time to heal. But by Friday, January 29, Danielle still refuses to get to know Todd. And Téa tells Danielle that she has enrolled her in classes at Llanview High School.

‘OLTL’ January Casting Updates

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — According to reports, “One Life to Live” has tapped musician and Broadway star Meghann Fahy as Hannah.

SON is working to confirm that Fahy has landed the new role, which is supposed to cause some friction between Starr and Cole, and is described as an honor student and cheerleader at Llanview University. For more details on the Hannah audition script, click here.

The 19-year-old Fahy made her Broadway debut last spring as an understudy for the character of Natalie in the play “Next to Normal.” She has also appeared on “Gossip Girl,” and has released two albums. In addition, she has sung the National Anthem numerous times before basketball and hockey games in Springfield and Harford, Connecticut.

Terrell Tilford (Greg Evans) tweeted on January 9th that he was shooting scenes with Erika Slezak [Viki] & Jerry VerDorn [Clint] this AM! they inspire me!” Three days later he wrote that was “Shooting with Frankie Faison (as my dad) and Tonye Pitano (as my mother) tomorrow…how awesome is that!? Then with Erika & Jerry again!” Tilford also comments that he had “2 scenes down…8 more to go,” and that he “had a really looooonnnngggg day shooting today [January 12th]… yeah I know, ‘get over it!’ hmmm, okay I have. time for a glass of malbec.” And the actor was apparently on set when Snoop Dogg recently taped his upcoming February 24th appearance tweeting, “Good hangin’ with Snoop and FOI at ‘OLTL’… keepin’ it real!”

And Tika Sumpter (Layla) tweets that she was on vacation in Costa Rica from December 14th until January 6th before returning to the set.

Gildersleeve’s ‘OLTL’ Role Revealed

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — “One Life to Live” announces the name of the character Taylor Gildersleeve will portray in Llanview.

Two days after the actress tweeted that she had “just booked a role on ‘One Life to Live,’” a show spokesperson has confirmed the news to ABC Soaps in Depth

There had been some question as to exactly which role the ex-”AMC” starlet had auditioned for, considering that there are currently three female characters being cast by “OLTL.”  However, SON can now report that Gildersleeve will portray the recurring character Leah, a stripper friend of Stacy and Kim from their days in Las Vegas.  To learn more about the recently released audition script for the role, click here

No first airdate has been announced for Gildersleeve, who portrayed Sydney Harris on “All My Children” in 2007.  SON will continue to follow the story.

Winning the Miss New York Teen USA 2009 title, Gildersleeve competed in Miss Teen USA Pageant, but failed to make the finals. A student at New York University, she has also appeared in an episode of “30 Rock.”

IT HAPPENED TODAY “Like a Bridge Over Troubled Daughters”…

Marty refuses to help Todd redeem himself in Danielle’s eyes. Todd’s horrified when Téa alerts him to the fact that Danielle has already learned about his unsavory past via an internet search. In an effort to help Danielle come to grips with Todd being her father, Matthew introduces her to Starr.

Jessica receives a letter from Mitch asking her to meet him on the docks alone. After leaving Jessica under the watchful eye of a fellow cop, Brody decides to confront Mitch himself. Nurse Charles sets her sights on Jessica. Not wanting to let her know what he’s really up to,

Charlie devastates Viki when he leads her to believe he’s drinking again when she follows him to the roadside bar where he’s meeting Dorian. Charlie tells Dorian he’ll kill Mitch for her.

Jake admits to Amanda that it will take some time for him to accept that David is truly out of their lives. David tells Greenlee that he confessed the truth to everyone and has decided to leave Pine Valley for good. Greenlee urges David to fight for people’s forgiveness and admits she doesn’t want to return home without him because she needs him as her safety net.

Tad lets Liza know that there’s nothing going on between him and Krystal after Liza admits she walked away when she saw them in what looked like an intimate moment.

Erica points out to Ryan that it would be a mistake for them to go away on Valentine’s Day when all he’ll be doing is thinking about Greenlee.

Annie fears for her future when Adam meets with Barry to discuss his estate.

Lucky alerts Jason to the fact he’s removing himself from Claudia’s murder investigation and warns him that Maxie saw Sonny the night Claudia disappeared. Jason realizes he needs to make sure Maxie doesn’t say anything that could jeopardize Michael.

Lucky unrepentantly admits to Lulu that he’s drinking again. Lulu tells Nikolas and Elizabeth about Lucky’s drinking and thinks it’s because of Nikolas’ feelings for Elizabeth.

Carly invites the Quartermaines to Josslyn’s christening.
