Soap Opera Network
Friday, September 10, 2010 at 10:52 PM ET by Scotty Gore Photo: Keysha McGrady/ABC(SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- Despite being shot and burned alive, Elijah Clarke makes a not-so-surprising return from the dead next week on "One Life to Live," begging the question that fans have long been asking, "Does anyone ever stay dead on this show?"Even though the character, portrayed by "Old Navy" spokesperson Matt Walton, only died a few weeks ago, his reign of terror is far from over. Viewers tuning in to Friday's episode were left with the assumption that it was another presumed dead character, Téa Delgado (played by Florencia Lozano), that had summoned Dr. Gregory Evans (Terell Tilford) back to the hospice center in St. Kitts. However, expect it to be revealed on Monday's episode that Eli is alive and (somewhat) well, and continuing to pull at Greg's strings. But it's only the beginning. Look for Eli to continue wrecking...

Guess Who Is Not Dead Afterall? Why Téa, Of Course!

Friday, September 10, 2010 9:10 PM EDT
Friday, September 10, 2010 at 10:10 PM ET by Scotty Gore Photo: Donna Svennevik/ABC(SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- It appears that reports of Téa Delgado's untimely passing have been greatly exaggerated. In what has possibly been one of ABC Daytime's worst kept secrets, Florencia Lozano returns to "One Life to Live" despite the fact that she never really left. While going all out for the shock factor with the "death" of one of the soap's "major" characters, "One Life" would have been wise to have done a better job of covering their tracks. Not only was Ms. Lozano spotted by fans and photographers frequently entering and exiting the soap's studios around the time that her character succumbed to her deadly brain tumor (which would make for an awful lot of ghost scenes, were that to be the case), but the actress herself was rather coy regarding her future with the show in a Wednesday, September 8 interview...

Ratings: Good Week For ABC Soaps

Friday, September 10, 2010 at 8:46 PM ET by Xavier ToupsPhoto: Donna Svennevik/ABC(SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- It may not be the jump that ABC wanted, but after three weeks since returning to "General Hospital," Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo is helping the soap climb up the charts by increasing viewership week-to-week and year-to-year. Meanwhile, "Days of our Lives" continues to lose viewers and "One Life to Live" is barely able to hold off "As The World Turns" in viewers, while tying the canceled soap for last place in households. Friday, September 10, 2010 5:24 PM EDT
Friday, September 10, 2010 at 6:24 PM ET by Errol Lewis Photo: ABC(SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- Not even two months has gone by since Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo returned to the set of ABC's "General Hospital," in what is reportedly an expensive contract lasting two years, when word comes out that the soap is about to lose some key cast members thanks to a dent in the pockets. If we are to believe Soap Opera Digest, we can expect several actors to be getting a pink slip in the near future as the magazine is reporting that the soap is facing budget cuts.In its newest issue, Digest says "rumors are swirling that another round of budget cuts will result in several heads rolling this fall." With news that Leslie Charleson, who has portrayed the role of Monica Quartermaine for over 30 years was out of a contract, it doesn't come as a surprise...

Friday, September 10, 2010 2:52 PM EDT
Friday, September 10, 2010 at 3:52 PM ET by Errol Lewis Photo: TeleNext Media(SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- Today in soap land, Carolyn 'Opinion' Hinsey posted on her Facebook page that two current "As The World Turns" actors would be appearing on an ABC soap near you in the next couple of weeks - one as a recast and one a new face on the canvas on either "All My Children," "General Hospital" or "One Life to Live." The question is, who is talking to Hinsey?Typically, when we ask for confirmation of who is coming or who is going from a series, we receive the standard "no comment" or "we do not comment on rumors." In the case of this report, we received neither. So what's the deal? We talked to those very high up at ABC Daytime and while the word "no" was never used, the word "yes" wasn't either. Does...
