“It’s impossible to forget Samantha Brady!” declared Caroline (Peggy McCay) on yesterday’s episode of “Days of our Lives,” exactly mirroring the thoughts that many of the sudser’s fans have had on their minds leading up to star Alison Sweeney’s last episode today. Many tears have been shed (both onscreen and off), but was the character’s exit really movie magic? Or would a completely different ending been the way to go?

On Thursday, November 6, fans of NBC's "Days of our Lives" will once again say goodbye to Eileen Davidson as she wraps her three month stint as Kristen DiMera on the daytime drama series. During her return, much of Kristen's storyline revolved around her rivalry with Theresa (Jen Lilley) and her unusual relationship with Daniel (Shawn Christian), which included a roll in the hay.

After two decades of super sudsy storylines, Alison Sweeney is wrapping up her time as Samantha Brady on today’s episode of “Days of Our Lives.” And to mark the emotional occasion, the actress has penned a heartfelt letter to fans thanking them for their support!

With ABC becoming full owner of "The View," after buying out Barbara Walters' stake over the summer, the network announced today that the daytime talker will now fall under the purview of ABC News after more than 17 years under the entertainment division, this despite a drastic makeover this fall with the inclusion of three new hosts joining Whoopi Goldberg on the panel. With the talk show now falling under the umbrella of the news division, “General Hospital" and "The Chew" remain the only entertainment programming airing during the daytime on the network.

Good news, soap fans: The date for the 2015 Daytime Emmy Awards has been set, and it’s closer than you might think!

As previously reported, soap stars Lindsay Hartley (“All My Children,” “Days of Our Lives,” “Passions“), Crystal Hunt (“Guiding Light,” “One Life to Live”), Vanessa Marcil (“Beverly Hills, 90210,” “General Hospital”), Chrystee Pharris (“Passions,” “General Hospital”) and Hunter Tylo (“The Bold and The Beautiful”) have signed on for POP's newest reality series, "Queens of Drama," where the ladies will work together to produce a pilot for a new serialized primetime drama series. As the poster above warns, today, October 28, marks the beginning of production for show. Donna Mills (“General Hospital,” “Knots Landing,” “Melrose Place”) will also be taking part with special appearances.

With the recent news that “The Bold and the Beautiful” is on an upswing regarding ratings, fans have had their fingers crossed that more good news would follow — including a possible return by beloved beauty Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (ex-Steffy Forrester). In response to the buzz, the actress took to Facebook to set the record straight concerning whether or not she’ll be back to stir up more trouble for Liam (Scott Clifton), Hope (Kim Matula) and the rest of the Forrester clan.

“General Hospital’s” Derk Cheetwood (Max Giambetti) and his wife, Cari, have something to celebrate: The pair are expecting their third child!

It seems as if soap opera writers are penning Crystal Hunt’s life: The actress — who’s known in the soap world as “Guiding Light’s” Lizzie Spaulding and “One Life to Live’s” Stacy Morasco — was recently slapped with three years probation and 45 days of community service work after a 2013 bar brawl in which she threw a glass at another woman. And now, that woman — revealed to be Elizabeth Nam — is suing the actress, claiming that her injuries killed her future baby!

He's probably already endured some of the worst humanity has to offer while portraying Chad Harris-Crane on NBC's "Passions," but Charles Divins is getting ready to report on real world events when he joins the anchor team of NBC affiliate WDSU effective Monday, October 27, it was announced by WDSU President and General Manager Joel Vilmenay. “We’re delighted to welcome Charles to the WDSU family,” said Vilmenay, “He’s going to be a great addition to our news team.” Divins will co-anchor "WDSU News This Morning" alongside Randi Rousseau.
