(SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, the publication reports that multiple insiders have confirmed the news that legions of "All My Children" fans have been hoping to hear since April 2010. The power's that be at the 41-year old daytime serial are eager to lure back David Canary and Julia Barr to the canvas for a run before shop closes at ABC. Canary, a five-time Daytime Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Lead Actor, joined the cast of "AMC" in 1983 as tycoon Adam Chandler. The male equal to Erica Kane (Susan Lucci), Adam would quickly become one of "AMC's" most iconic characters. In 1984, Canary ushered in Adam's better half Stuart Chandler. The 72-year old actor remained on the show until his retirement. He last aired in April 2010. Prior to his more than a quarter of a century of delighting ABC Daytime fans, Canary was...

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- As previously reported, Thorsten Kaye and "All My Children" had started talks to negotiate a return coinciding with the resolution of the soap on ABC. Through his Official Web Site Messageboard, on Monday May 9, Kaye revealed that he will be bringing back Zach Slater, in the flesh, to Pine Valley this summer to tape "a good number of shows." The Emmy-nominated actor relates that although the official papers remain to be signed, a deal has been reached. Kaye first aired in the role of casino owner Zach Slater on May 20, 2004. The actor became one-half of one of "AMC's" most popular pairings of the last decade paired opposite Erica Kane's (Susan Lucci) first born Kendall Hart (Alicia Minshew). Kaye last aired on contract on December 29, 2009. The four-time Daytime Emmy nominee, twice for his role on "AMC," has returned for several short stints on...

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- On Friday, April 29, Cady McClain reported on her official Twitter feed that her discussions to return to "All My Children" had reached their conclusion - and that she would be returning to the soap she started her daytime career on. On Tuesday, May 10, McClain will return to the "AMC" set in California to begin taping what will likely be her last run on the ABC soap that is expected to cease production for good in August. McClain, a two-time Daytime Emmy Award winner, debuted as the naive Dixie Cooney on "AMC" in October 1988. Alongside the talented Michael E. Knight, McClain would go on to leave her mark on the soap by becoming one-half of arguably "AMC's" biggest super-couple, Tad & Dixie. Needing a break, McClain exited the show by the spring of 1996. Rested, she returned in July 1998 and remained on the show until...

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- If you've been living under a rock, you may not have known that Roger Howarth was returning to ABC's "One Life to Live" beginning Friday, May 13. The only question was whether or not he'd be playing the role of Todd Manning or some new character that just happens to look like Todd pre-2003, when Trevor St. John took over the role after it was revealed his initial role as Walker Laurence was really Todd with a face lift. In "The Tale of Two Todd's," Howarth marks his triumphant return to the drama series with the infamous scar and all, so what's the deal? Who is truly Todd?Based on images released today by the network, it looks like St. John has in fact been portraying an impostor Todd, while Howarth's Todd looks to have been locked away in some sort of psyche ward for the past eight...
