(SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- In its latest issue on newsstands now, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that there are rumors that "All My Children's" Chrishell Stause (Amanda Martin) will be leaving the recently canceled soap opera prior to its January 2012 finale, even though the soap last airs on Friday, September 23, 2011 and yes, they wrote that in their magazine, not I. Either which way, Soap Opera Network spoke with Stause herself right after the Twitter controversy that sparked Digest's report.The story, first reported by Soap Opera Network on Monday, April 25, goes that Stause had tweeted Ryan Basford, a talent production assistant at E!'s "Chelsea Lately" and friend of the actress, with the comment "I wish I could say-but there are serious talks going on I found out for sure. I'm leaving anyway-but I want the show to go on!" when asked if recently canceled "AMC" would be picked...
On Thursday, May 12, Soap Opera Network broke news when we reported that layoffs occurred earlier this week at Soap Opera Digest and Soap Opera Weekly after American Media, Inc. officially took over editorial, advertising, marketing and distribution control of both publications from Source Interlink Companies, which retains ownership of both titles. Now comes word that Lynn Leahey, Editorial Director of both magazines along with lesser known title Pixie, is stepping down. We're told it was her decision.

Some of the rumors are going as far as to say that he will portray the love interest of Will Horton (Chandler Massey), who is also rumored to be the character the soap will reveal as being gay. When contacted by Soap Opera Network, a "DAYS" representative confirmed that it is indeed a rumor, but could not confirm published reports. A representative for Smith was unable to provide any details on the matter, but promised to keep us abreast on the situation. Additional reporting by Angela Rosa (SoapOperaNetwork.com) -- While it was widely expected to happen, ABC is now confirming that Thorsten Kaye has indeed signed on to return to "All My Children" in the role of Zach Slater, the presumed dead husband of Kendall Hart Slater, as the daytime soap begins counting down to its final episode. Kaye is "coming back sometime later this summer" reports an ABC representative to Soap Opera Network in confirming the news. Based on a posting on his official website the actor will begin filming in late June, which would place his first airdate as late July or early August barring any quick scene insertions as the soap has done with Cady McClain and her return as Dixie Cooney beginning Tuesday, May 17.
