The Tuesday, February 22 episode of “One Life to Live” will not only give viewers their first glimpse of Andrew Trischitta as a recast Jack Manning, but it will also be the day that the ABC soap begins telling the story of bullying in America. The topic, of course, especially hits home with many children as they prepare to go to school each weekday not knowing if they will be thrown into their lockers with a wedgie or hanging upside down waiting for their lunch money to be stolen by someone bigger than them. Some of them even contemplate the prospect of suicide, which is rumored to be where the show may eventually take the storyline down the road. Wherever the show takes the story, Soap Opera Network of course will be following them every step of the way.

Mother Knows Best! Valerie Wildman Returns to 'DAYS'

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Fay Walker may be missing her daughter Nicole's (Arianne Zucker) wedding to EJ DiMera (James Scott) this week, but that won't stop actress Valerie Wildman from making a return visit to the NBC drama series before saying goodbye to recently fired on screen daughter Natalia Livingston (Taylor Walker).

Last seen in July 2010, Wildman returns to Salem beginning Wednesday, March 9 for extended visit amidst the drama her daughters are going through. One daughter (Nicole) will have recently re-married EJ, while the other daughter (Taylor) is secretly in love with EJ, or is acting like she is. Of course, in typical soap opera fashion, Fay has a secret of her own which will put both daughter's and their issues to shame.

In addition to her numerous visits to "Days of our Lives," Wildman has also appeared in episodes of "General Hospital," "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."

          Wilson Bethel Returns to 'Y&R'

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Earlier this month rumors began circulating that CBS' "The Young and the Restless" would be bringing Wilson Bethel back as Ryder Callahan, now Soap Opera Network can confirm that the actor is indeed returning beginning next month.

Bethel, last seen in July 2010, is back beginning with the Thursday, March 3 episode of the drama series as Ryder shocks Jana (Emily O'Brien) when he reveals himself during one frightfully cold night in Genoa City.

Since leaving "Y&R" last summer, Bethel has tested out for the title role in "Captain America" (which eventually went to "Fantastic Four's" Chris Evans) and has recently landed the lead role opposite Rachel Bilson in the CW pilot "Hart of Dixie." The show is described as a comedic drama about a girl named Zoe (Bilson), who inherits a medical facility in a small Southern town full of eccentric characters. According to Deadline.com, Bethel's character will be that of a "gorgeous flirty, bad-boy southern fisherman," who lives next door to Zoe, plays in a band and dedicates a song to her.

It is unclear at this time whether the actor will be returning to the soap on a full-time basis or if his characters stay is short term, but either which way a show representative tells Soap Opera Network, "we don't comment on contracts."

'One Life to Live' Helps to STOMP on Bullying

(SoapOperaNetwork) — ABC’s “One Life to Live” has partnered up with “STOMP Out Bullying” as it prepares to kick off a major storyline involving Shane Morasco (Austin Williams) and recently recast Jack Manning (now played by Andrew Trischitta), who has turned into a high school bully.

In preparation, “One Life to Live” consulted “STOMP” and “Love Our Children USA” founder and CEO Ross Ellis, who discusses the alarming increase in bullying incidents in recent years in the March 1 edition of Soap Opera Weekly.

On Tuesday, February 22, viewers will get their first glimpse of Trischitta, when it is revealed on screen that Jack is Shane’s high school bully.  However, that’s only the beginning of the story. According to “OLTL” Head Writer Ron Carlivati, Shane’s situation is only going to get worse before it get better, hinting to TVGuide‘s Michael Logan that the teen could be pushed to the brink of suicide.  Meanwhile, Shane and Jack’s parents will remain in the dark as to the severity of the situation, with the Morasco’s failing to see the warning signs, and the Manning’s living in denial that their son could be involved in harassing his classmate.

To coincide with the reveal, PSA’s for “STOMP Out Bullying” will begin airing during “One Life to Live’s” commercial breaks beginning February 22.
