Comings and Goings

According to Soap Opera Digest, "General Hospital" has cast Hannah Nordberg in the role of Josslyn Jacks, the daughter of Carly (Laura Wright) and Jax (Ingo Rademacher). She succeeds Paige Olivier, who played the character in 2013.

Now that Michelle Stafford has signed on to portray the contract role of Nina Clay on ABC's "General Hospital," it was only a matter of time before CBS' "The Young and the Restless" opted to recast her Daytime Emmy Award winning role. Earlier this month the soap announced they were doing just that after putting out a casting call for the role, which was recently landed by soap veteran Gina Tognoni.

Just as the long memorial day holiday weekend was getting ready to begin word broke that "The Young and the Restless" was recasting the role of Billy Abbott. According to Daytime Confidential, "Y&R" has decided to go in a different direction with the character and has let David Tom go. He is being replaced by actor Burgess Jenkins.

Last week when news broke that actor James Scott had completed filming his 8-year run on NBC's "Days of our Lives" as EJ DiMera, fans couldn't help but wonder if that meant the end of the road for the popular character, or if there were plans to recast, considering the actor himself cited "personal time" as the reason for his departure.

A representative for the show had no comment when contacted, but Soaps In Depth is reporting that Bradford Anderson is heading back to ABC's "General Hospital" as Damian Spinelli for a brief appearance.

As previously reported, former "All My Children" star Robert Scott Wilson (ex-Pete Cortlandt) is joining the cast of NBC's "Days of our Lives" as a recast Ben Rogers. The actor replaces Justin Gaston, who in real-life is married to “The Young and the Restless’” Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman). Gaston was let go after his 13-week contract cycle was not picked up.

Just one day after NBC's "Days of our Lives" received the good news from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences that it was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series, among its 14 total nominations, for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, comes word that the daytime soap is saying goodbye to one of its leading men. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that James Scott (EJ DiMera) completes filming at The Burbank Studios today, May 2, after an eight year run with the show.

CBS Daytime has featured a slew of crossover stories as of late, and there’s yet one more on the way: “Let’s Make a Deal’s’” model, Danielle Demski is headed to “The Young and the Restless!”

Rumors had been swirling all weekend and now Soap Opera Digest is reporting that former "All My Children" actor, and "The Price is Right" male model, Robert Scott Wilson (ex-Pete Cortlandt) has joined the cast of NBC's "Days of our Lives" as a recast Ben Rogers. He replaces daytime newcomer Justin Gaston, who in real-life is married to "The Young and the Restless'" Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman).

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that CBS' "The Bold and the Beautiful" will once again welcome Hunter Tylo back to its canvas as the storyline of Aly (Ashlyn Pearce) dealing with the death of her mother, Darla (Schae Harrison), continues to play out on screen and kicks into high gear particularly during May Sweeps. Per the publication, citing a show spokesperson, Tylo is expected to re-appear as Taylor Hayes Forrester beginning Friday, April 25.
