What: Celebrity Fishing Tournament
Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation presents its 1st Annual Celebrity Fishing Tournament - Catch & Release. You'll have the chance to meet television. movie and sports celebrities as you fish for halibut, bass, and spotfin croaker. First place for each species wins $500, 2nd & 3rd place wins fishing equipment in the open division and the youth division gets trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers.
There will be an awards ceremony, auction and reception for all competitors at The Lagoon Discovery Center after the competition.
Proceeds benefit the United Anglers of Southern California and Hubbs Sea World Research Institute, both non-profit organizations.
When: Saturday, May 17, 2008. Registration is at 6:00 AM; fishing is from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM
