Soap Opera Network has learned exclusively that veteran soap stars Ronn Moss, Sean Kanan, Judi Evans and Patrika Darbo have joined the cast of LANY Entertainment’s “The Bay: The Series,” which premieres Chapter 12 on Thursday, May 1 with episodes running a bit longer in length than they had in prior chapters (episodes will now run between 17-20 minutes, typical for a weekly 1/2 hour series excluding commercials).

Moss, who departed CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” in September 2012 after portraying the widely popular role of Ridge Forrester for more than 25 years, joins “The Bay” as former Bay City District Attorney, John Blackwell. Evans (Adrienne Johnson Kiriakis, “DAYS”) will portray Katherine Blackwell, John’s wife. While at first it would appear that John and Katherine are in town to reconnect with their son, Damian Blackwell (Erik Fellows), the power couple are in actuality seeking vengeance against the Garrett family, who they share a hidden past.

The series tells the story of agricultural giant Animoil, which thinks it has the solution to feeding the world (and the company’s pockets). But when activist Chip Randolph (John Sloan) sets out to expose what happens before the meat gets butchered, thing spiral dangerously out of control. And smack dab in the middle of the drama sits Buck (Wise), the gun-collecting head of IFIB and lead representative for Animoil!

According to Deadline Hollywood, former “Days of our Lives” star Mark Hapka (ex-Nathan Horton) has joined the cast of the FOX Digital Studio original sci-fi series, “Parallels.”

Per the website, Hapka will portray Ronan Carver, a street-smart underground MMA fighter who has been estranged from his family since age 16 only to be forced to confront his past in an adventure through parallel universes. Also cast in the series are Jessica Rothe (“Gossip Girl”), Eric Jungmann (“Night Stalker”), Constance Wu (“One Life to Live”), Yorgo Constantine (“24″) and Michael Monks.

“Parallels” hails from the mind of writer/director Christopher Leone with Laura Harcom set to produce.
