The former Hollywood Hills home of Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos, “General Hospital”), which was once a pad possibly filled with soap scripts and dramatic scene rehearsals, is now being “pumped up” a little bit with a new resident: Foster the People frontman Mark Foster.
Soap fans certainly know Eddie Cibrian as “Sunset Beach’s” Cole Deschanel, but the hunky star is widely known for a slew of other roles in films and TV shows like “Third Watch,” “Vanished,” “Ugly Betty,” “CSI: Miami,” “The Playboy Club,” and “For Better or Worse.” And now the actor is adding yet another gig onto his resume, this time in a new Hallmark Channel original movie called “Notes From Dad.”
Fans who loved seeing Crystal Chappell (Gina Brogno, “Venice;” ex-Carly Manning, “Days of our Lives;” ex-Olivia Spencer, “Guiding Light”) as Jane in Steve Silverman’s Alfred Hitchcock-inspired series, “The Inn,” are in for quite a treat: The two-time Emmy Award winning actress is reprising the role in the second season of the dark drama!
“The Young and the Restless’” Max Ehrich (Fenmore Baldwin) has gone from soap star to rock star seemingly overnight. He and his boy band, Infinity, just recently released a music video of their version of Rihanna’s Stay, and now the group is prepping for their first ever live performance!
Marvel's "Iron Man 3" kicked off the summer box-office season on Friday raking in $68.3 million, which according to Deadline Hollywood is expected to translate into a weekend haul of between $165 to $170 million for the third installment in the popular film franchise. So how does the films massive success relate to soap operas?
It’s only been a few weeks since “General Hospital’s” Brandon Barash (Johnny Zacchara) announced that he was ending his six-year stint in daytime, and the actor already has a primetime role in the works: He’ll be playing a stripper on Fox’s crime comedy-drama, “Bones”!
As we reported last week, “General Hospital’s” Ian Buchanan (Duke Lavery) is currently part of a four-episode arc on the web comedy “Old Dogs & New Tricks,” which follows the misadventures of four middle-aged gay friends in West Hollywood. He now has two episodes under his belt, meaning half the fun is yet to come!
For those that don't know him or have yet to discover him, Robert Scott Wilson is both a model and an actor. In September 2012, Wilson won the coveted position as the first-ever male model on "The Price is Right." The game show hosted by Drew Carey, currently in its 41st season on CBS, issued an open casting call for male models in Los Angeles in August of last year and hundreds of hopefuls showed up. After being narrowed down to just 26 individuals, the men competed in a series of challenges that were featured on priceisright.com. Such challenges included writing and singing original lyrics based on the theme music from the iconic series. Ultimately, Wilson beat out finalists Clint Brink and Nick Denbeigh and began a week-long stint in mid-October, which has since turned into a regular gig. When news first broke that Wilson would be joining the cast of "All My Children" in the contract role of Peter Cortlandt, one could only wonder if he would be departing the game show after such a short period of time. Wonder no more as the actor tells Soap Opera Network, he'll be doing both!
On Tuesday, March 12, during the east coast broadcast of ABC’s “General Hospital“” (2:00 – 3:00 PM ET/11:00 AM – 12:00 PM PT), fans of Kelly Sullivan (Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri) will be able to tweet live with the soap star as she discusses her characters. Yes, her characters!
The web comedy “Old Dogs & New Tricks” is in the midst of its second season, and guess what? Not only is “General Hospital’s” Ian Buchanan (Duke Lavery) popping up on the series as Christoph, a Hollywood photographer who becomes a romantic alternative for one of the show’s leads, but it was “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Susan Flannery (Stephanie Forrester) who convinced him to join the show!
