Wanna see something guaranteed to make you giggle? Then you won’t want to miss the “The Young and the Restless’” Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman) in his new gig as a talk show host! The actor has teamed up with “Y&R” production staffer Greg Edwards to create a humorous show titled “Soaps and Other Stuff,” which features “Y&R” stars answering ridiculous questions, playing silly games and being subjected to a multitude of other antics all dreamed up and acted out by Morrow himself as “host.”
Earlier this year, Soap Opera Network covered the antics of the webseries, "Old Dogs & New Tricks." In light of its recent release on DVD and availability on Hulu, we thought you'd like to catch up with all the fun that features soap stars Thom Bierdz (ex-Phillip Chancellor, "The Young and the Restless") and Ian Buchanan (Duke Lavery, "General Hospital").

Set to the tune "Too Darn Hot (RAC Mix)" by Ella Fitzgerald, OWN has released a new teaser trailer for season 2 of "Tyler Parry's The Haves and the Have Nots," starring former "One Life to Live" actress Tika Sumpter (ex-Layla Williamson). Set to premiere Tuesday, January 7, 2014, the addictive primetime soap opera brings viewers back to Savannah, Georgia and the complicated dynamics between the rich and powerful Cryer family and the friends and enemies they surround themselves by. The series also stars John Schneider, Renee Lawless, Crystal Fox, Eva Tamargo (ex-Pilar Lopez-Fitzgerald, “Passions”), Angela Robinson, Peter Parros (ex-Ben Harris, "As The World Turns"; ex-Ben Price, "One Life to Live"), Gavin Houston (ex-Remy Boudreau, “Guiding Light”; ex-Sly Thomas, “General Hospital”), Aaron O'Connell, Tyler Lepley and Jaclyn Betham.
With just 10 days to go before it goes dark for good, one piece of several puzzles surrounding the end of SOAPnet was where some of the shows currently airing on the cable network would land once it said goodbye. In a press release, Pivot announced earlier this week that it has landed the rebroadcast airing rights to "Veronica Mars," which joined the SOAPnet lineup in March 2012. In announcing its agreement with Warner Bros. Television, producers of the series, the network also announced that it has picked up rerun rights to "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," which starred former "All My Children" actress Sarah Michelle Gellar (ex-Kendall Hart), as well. "Mars" starred Kristen Bell in the title role.
Now playing in a theater near you, "Tyler Perry's A Madea Christmas" follows Perry's titular character, Mabel "Madea" Simmons, as she accompanies her niece, Eileen (Anna Maria Horsford), to pay a surprise visit to Eileen’s daughter, Lacey, who has mysteriously informed her she’s not coming home for the holidays. In reality, Lacey followed Connor (Eric Lively), the man she loves and secretly married, from the big city to a small Alabama town as he fights to save his family farm from bankruptcy.
Lionsgate announced today that it has acquired the feature film rights to "Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth," the New York Times bestselling biographical tale that questions the details about the man we know as Jesus of Nazareth. Authored by Dr. Reza Aslan, "Zealot" was released to bookstores and online publishing retailers earlier this year.
"It started as a friendship, but one night became an obsession" is the message behind "Nurse 3D," a new thriller that finds Paz de la Huerta (“Boardwalk Empire”) as Abby Russell, a nurse by day at All Saints Memorial Hospital; by night, Abby hits up the hottest night clubs looking to lure unfaithful men into dangerous dalliances. A new arrival at the hospital, Danni Rogers (played by Katrina Bowden; "30 Rock," "One Life to Live") finds herself receiving unwelcoming attention from Abby, who at first appears to want friendship, but when Danni doesn't seem interested in the type friendship offered, Abby becomes obsessed and begins to turn Danni's world into a living hell. Corbin Bleu (ex-Jeffrey King, "OLTL") also stars in the film as Danni's boyfriend, Steve. The cast is rounded out by Judd Nelson as Dr. Robert Morris, Boris Kodjoe as Detective Rogan, Adam Herschman as Jared, Niecy Nash as Regina, and Martin Donovan as Larry Cook.
Scheduled guests for the week of DECEMBER 9-13 are as follows (subject to change):
With nearly 24 minutes in total airtime between them, LANYentertainment released the first two installments of "The Bay: The Series" chapter 11 on the official "Bay" website yesterday. An ABC representative has confirmed with Soap Opera Network that it has cut the third season episode order of its red hot soap, "Scandal." Originally expected to air 22 episodes this season, "Scandal" will now only air 18. While the network did not give a reason for the episode reduction, it's understood that with series star Kerry Washington pregnant and it being harder to hide a pregnancy for a lead character on a primetime series than one on daytime, due to how much time it takes to film each episode, it's likely that the reduction occurred for this reason.
On tonight's episode of USA Network's "White Collar," starring Matt Bomer (ex-Ben Reade, "Guiding Light"), former "One Life to Live" star Tobias Truvillion (ex-Vincent Jones) will guest-star. "I play an ex-military type. He's like a blackops. Him and his partner are on the black market looking for this particular intel chip," shared Truvillion to Soap Opera Network of his appearance in the episode entitled "Quantico Closure," which finds Neal (Bomer) delving further into the mystery of the Codex. Meanwhile, Peter (Tim DeKay) takes on a classified espionage case with a fellow FBI agent: his ex-girlfriend.
As previously reported, "The Bold and the Beautiful's" Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester) will be hosting a new adventure series on E!, which premieres tonight at 10:00 PM ET/PT on the cable network. The series will take viewers on the ultimate adventure as Wood travels around the world in such exotic locations as Sardinia, Ibiza, Hvar and Marbella, meeting several individuals in a world without limits. Activities Wood takes part include rock climbing, yachting, camel riding, jet skiing, NASCAR like racing, and much more.
Halloween 2014 is looking super spooky already: Soap stars Brandon Beemer (ex-Owen Knight, “The Bold and the Beautiful”) and Felisha Terrell (ex-Arianna Hernandez) have joined the cast of “Fear Clinic,” a horror film based on the successful FearNet.com web series “The Fear Chamber.”
