THIS WEEK ON:THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Chloe feigns sickness to get closer to Cane. Adam gets offered the key to Heather’s room, which Phyllis witnesses. Lily is a no-show in New York. Nikki and Victor, once again go another round of bickering. Amber thinks that Adrian would be well-suited in writing for Restless Style. Victor asks Nick and Adam to stand up in his wedding but only one son agrees to. It’s time for Noah to go away to summer camp. Paul does another investigation; this time on Walter. Cane tries to get Jill to renegotiate Lily’s modeling contract.

GIVE HER AN INCH, SHE COULD TAKE EVERYTHING

Michael and Jeffrey had a heated discussion about Gloria, which leads to Michael punching him. Jack falls on his sword and offers Gloria a place to stay. When she arrives there, she learns she’s been assigned to live in the pool house. Sharon comes home to find out that Gloria will be staying there and she is furious that Jack didn’t talk to her about his decision first. Kevin gives his mom the old heave-ho. Gloria finds herself in yet another mess when she unwittingly poisons Jeffrey.

Restless Style Magazine Cover
(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — On Friday, May 16, 2008, “The Young and the Restless” launched an online fashion and lifestyle magazine, RestlessStyle.com, to go hand in hand with the launch of their in-show print magazine, RestlessStyle.

The new online website gives viewers the latest in runway trends, beauty pointers and coverage on the red carpet. The magazine also offers videos, polls, horoscopes and photo galleries. Content will run concurrently with upcoming “Y&R” storylines connected to RestlessStyle, run by Nicholas and Phyllis Newman (Joshua Morrow and Michelle Stafford) and Jack and Sharon Abbott (Peter Bergman and Sharon Case).

George Kotsiopoulous, current style director at C Magazine lends his expertise in fashion and style for the site and will also appear on the daytime drama as a fashion consultant. Alongside Kotsiopoulous, Peter McQuaid, a contributor to The New York Times, InStyle Magazine and The Los Angeles Times, will oversee and provide editorial content for RestlessStyle.com.

“Y&R” fans will have the opportunity to engage with some of the interactive features including a slideshow widget, which allows photos showing favorite fashions to upload onto the site. The widgets can be taken and embedded into viewers blogs, online social networks and their own websites. Fans are also allowed to customize their very own playlists from the five themes listed: New York Lifestyle, Hollywood Lounge, Summer Stylin, Paris Runway and of course Restless Style.

THIS WEEK ON:AS THE WORLDS TURNS

Emily and Casey continue to find it hard to work and not play. Casey comes forward with the truth to Lisa about his stealing money at the Lakeview, but when she tells Tom and Margo, they give Casey and ultimatum: attend college full-time or return back to jail. Unfortunately, when Casey tells Emily what happened she turns him away when she says they are not an item. After yet another fight with Chris, Alison confides in Aaron. Chris goes to Bob and expresses he feels bad for pushing Alison so hard in the nursing program. Bob tells his son that if he truly has faith in her, continue to help her. Alison learns she passed her exam and she goes out with Chris to celebrate. When a passionate moment between them turns sour, an angry Chris throws Alison’s porn past in her face.

TROUBLES ON THE HORIZON…

Shortly after moving the girls back to their home, Lily calls upon Holden when the lights go out. Holden opts to take Faith and Natalie out for something to eat. Meanwhile, Carly and Sage, who are also out, run into the threesome and agree to horseback riding plans that the young girls request. The next day, however, Carly shows up solo, telling Holden that Sage backed out due to fear. Holden suggests that the two of them go on the horseback ride anyways. During the ride, Holden’s horse is injured, which forces him and Carly to share one horse back to the farm. The closeness of their ride soon ignite some sparks between Holden and Carly, leaving the two of them unnerved.

When Barbara’s health hasn’t improved, Paul insists that she call upon a nurse to care for her, Barbara tells Paul he will have to oversee Sophie’s upcoming jewelery launch. Paul maintains that he will do so, but will make sure Sophie is aware that it is strictly business. Sophie, upon learning that Paul will be there at the launch, immediately gets the wrong ideas. Across town, Bob informs Meg that she has her nursing job back. She soon realizes that Barbara was the one that pulled strings to make that happen and heads over to see her. When she arrives, she finds that Barbara is very ill and offers to stay with her. Paul shows up and finds Meg asleep on the couch. After the two of them share a tender moment, Meg tells Paul she will drop the restraining order against him. Paul in turn, invites Meg and Mike to the jewelery launch party. Meg immediately agrees and when she and Mike are alone, he questions if this will be their first date with one another. Meg answers yes, which makes Mike more than happy.

Parker, who is also preparing for a date with a girl named Ashley, has a run in with Liberty. When she learns that he’s going on a date, she begins to question if he knows what to do on a date. A nervous Parker tries to sideline her questions until she questions if he’s ever kissed a girl before. Shortly after, Parker and Ashley go on their movie date. Liberty, who has tagged along, begins to tease Parker after his date ends on an awkward moment. Alone together, Liberty tries to give Parker some tips on how to kiss a girl and when the two kiss, the two become shaken up by it.

The past always seems to come to light…

Paul, who is in Bermuda, locates David’s ex girlfriend, Elizabeth, who tells him that David has a muderous past. Katherine and Jill have an arguement about the past regarding Phillip. Gloria gets played when she learns that the diamonds that she has are fake. Alistar gets a job at the coffeehouse. David thinks his bet will get him out of his financial hole. Daniel stuns Phyllis with the news that he’s leaving with Danny on tour. Jill gives Gloria the boot at Jabot, while Victor is determined to fight the lawsuit they have against Newman.

Chloe lets Lily know that a modeling agency in New York expects to see them. Paul finds David’s step-daughter. Adam says the words that Victor has longed to hear since his arrival. Gloria and Jeffrey get their divorce and Michael soon agrees to let Gloria stay with him. Cane wants questions answered about his father. Adam and Heather get closer than close. David receives a mysterious telephone call.

AN ACCIDENT JOGS NICK’S MEMORY AGAIN

The Newman family comes together when they learn that Nick was in a car accident. Phyllis arrives to visit Nick, and when she receives a chilly vibe from him, she assumes the worst. At the hospital, Nick spots a girl who reminds him of Cassie, which jogs his memory. He soon learns of how his past actions affected his relationships and soon reaches out to Sharon. When Sharon and Nick come face-to-face, he apologizes for all he’s done to cause their marriage to deteriorate.

Victor comes to Nick’s and congratulates him on a job well done on Restless Style. Michael, Lauren and Kevin walk in on Gloria and Alistar in bed. Jeff opts to leave Genoa City for good, as he plans a trip to the Cayman Islands. Lily begins to wonder if something happened between Cane and Chloe. Brad makes the moves on Heather, which Victoria is witness to. Danny returns to Genoa City and offers Daniel something that could put a damper on his relationship to Amber. Adam makes a costly mistake that leads to a serious lawsuit. The Newman family take time to remember Cassie. Someone sideswipes Nick’s car.

A HUSBAND OF DECEIT…

JT informs Paul that David and Nikki tied the knot in Mexico, which causes Paul to do some serious investigation work on the man. When pressure is put on David to come up with the money he lost, he tries to pawn a wedding gift that Nikki gave him. Later, David goes out of his way to put out for a loan in Nikki’s name. Paul and JT dig up information that David had a lover back in Bermuda. Alone with Nikki, David tries to sweet talk her into setting up a joint bank account. Paul leaves for Bermuda to locate David’s ex. Nikki, in the meantime, tries talking to Victor. Meanwhile, David meets with Walter to get a loan to cover his debt.

Sophie tries to make moves on Paul, who is checking up on Barbara. Barbara, on the other hand is offered care by Meg when she passes out. Alison tries playing matchmaker for Casey, unaware that something went on between him and Emily. Later that day, Casey and Emily find themselves in a heated situation but is haulted when Tom comes unannounced. Things between Holden and Lily continue to go south when a wary Faith announces she wants them nowhere near her school dance. Across town, Carly and Jack are having their awkward moments too with one another. Alison becomes tense around Chris when he makes the offer to help her with her nursing courses.

TROUBLES ON THE HORIZON…

Katie sets up house at a new place in an effort to keep Janet out of Brad’s radar. When she shows him their new digs, she’s feeling good about the idea until Janet and Liberty show up to spoil the moment. Janet immediately begins to play the guilt card on Brad, which annoys Katie. When Liberty tells Brad and Katie that she will stay at the Lakeview with her mom, Katie has a confession of her own for Brad. When alone, she admits the primary reason why she got a new place for them is to keep them away from Janet. Brad continues to console Katie, telling her there is nothing to worry about. The Lakeview contacts Katie to inform her of Liberty’s high room fee and she heads out to get her. Liberty tries to con Katie, but Katie immediately calls her out, saying she knows she had Parker at the Lakeview and spending a hefty tab. Meanwhile, Janet pulls out the charm when she arrives to see Brad. The minute Katie returns, she witnesses Janet and a shirtless Brad, who is eating, together. Brad quickly dismisses it while a pleased Janet exits their home. Unable to take it any longer, Katie sets some serious rules for Brad about Janet’s constant presence in their lives.

Noah finds the letter he thought he misplaced in a drawer at the cottage. When he informs Luke about it, Luke suspects that Ameera was the one that took it. Luke then makes the suggestion that Noah contact Lisa’s government friend, Ben Coyle, who could have information about both Col. Mayer and Ameera. Ameera, meanwhile finds herself face-to-face with Col. Mayer, who demands her help. Luke and Noah both return home to discover Ameera has written a letter announcing her departure from Oakdale. Shortly after, a cop shows up at the cottage to inform Noah that his father has escaped from prison. Noah assumes that she’s been kidnapped while Luke think Ameera left with Col. Mayer on her own wishes.

Y&R PreVUE: Week of May 12 Edition

Happily ever after?

THIS WEEK ON:THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Colleen packs her bags and heads for China, while Karen does the same thing and heads for the Big Apple. When Chloe gets tipsy, she locks lips with Cane. David loses another bet. Jill warns Katherine that Nikki is becoming a big problem for Jabot, however, Kay issues her own warning about her involvement with Jeff. Daniel introduces Amber as his girlfriend. Jeff serves Gloria with divorce papers but threatens her for a big payout to keep him quiet about her. When Gloria realizes that she could lose her money, she begs Michael for help, but he tells her what she’s getting is much deserved.

A NEW MARRIAGE FOR NIKKI…

After learning of Victor’s proposal to Sabrina, Nikki ups her own wedding date. David says they should elope to Mexico. On their way there, however, their plane is delayed and wedding preparations fall through. The two eventually tie the knot and return back to Genoa City. Victor learns that his ex-wife married David and voices his concerns to Sabrina. Meanwhile, upon their arrival home, David and Nikki find themselves stuck in the elevator together.

Jack is instructed that Restless Style needs to find themselves a new cover model. Kathy Hilton comes to Genoa City and lends her hand to the magazine. Problems slowly develope that could cause the magazine from meeting it’s publishing deadline. When the website for the magazine crashes, all fingers point to Sharon. Jack begins to make decisions regarding the magazine that angers Phyllis, Nick and Sharon. Meanwhile, after much work, Restless Style’s first issue hits stands.

GL PreVUE: Week of May 12 Edition

Could the honor of a cop be tarnished by the mistakes he’s made…

THIS WEEK ON:GUIDING LIGHT

Jeffrey isn’t too thrilled to share his home with Reva’s movie crew. Lizzie has a decision to make when Reva gives her a Mother’s Day card that includes the address for her to see Sarah. Ava wants her old job back at Spaulding. Alan gives Rafe a gift; along with strings attached. Josh takes RJ to the father/son baseball game but leaves early to confront the man he thinks Cassie is cheating on him with. Harley, however, manages to talk him out of it. During a girls day out, Blake confesses to Harley and Cassie that she has a crush on Coop; who wants Ashlee to be by his side for a book tour. Olivia once again refuses to let Rafe and Natalia have the house Gus bought for them. Cyrus, still being put at a distance with Harley finds himself being pursued by a lady at the gym.

A COP’S HONOR DISGRACED?

Harley, who is trying to work out all of Gus’s past cases, begins to wonder if someone in the department was trying to prevent him from getting the cases done. Mallet meets with Harley and tells her that she needs to focus more on taking care of herself and being with her family, rather than focusing on Gus. When he’s alone in his office, he takes a file and shreds its contents. Harley finds Jeffrey and suggests he looks into possibility of there being a crooked cop on the force. Jeffrey takes her suggestion to Mallet, who waves Harley’s assumptions off as mere nonsense. During dinner with Marina, Mallet turns her offer to come back to her place down when he decides to meet Dinah for a favor. When he arrives, he informs Dinah that Gus, during the time at the police department, was taking in favors. Mallet then asks her if she can get Doris to force Jeffrey off of the case. When Dinah meets with Doris, she presents her with two tapes of her as the Mayor of Springfield; one that shows her in a positive light and the other that is damaging. Later that day, Dinah tells Mallet that she took care of everything for him.

THIS WEEK ON:AS THE WORLDS TURNS

Chris learns that Alision is having trouble in the nursing program and offers to tutor her. When she is late for her exam, Brenda, who is conducting the exam, refuses to let Alison make it up, until Chris steps in. Janet continues to be a problem for Katie and Brad, when she comes to the set and eventually takes over a segment for the show. When Brad doesn’t dote on her, Janet opts to pack her bags to leave. Luke overhears a phone conversation between Ameera and Col. Mayer. When he confronts her, the two get into an argument, which eventually puts Luke and Noah at odds with one another.

PULLING EVERY TRICK IN THE BOOK…

Lily convinces Carly to help her get some serious alone time with Holden. When Holden comes home, she tells him that the kids are with Carly and that Lucinda’s plans for dinner fell through. Holden offers to cook dinner, however, Lily surprises him with a candlelit dinner of her own. During dinner, Holden ruins his shirt and when he removes it, the sexual tension between them is high. Immediately uneasy, Holden opts to go get the kids, but when he arrives at Carly’s, she convinces him that the kids are having a good time. Things heat up the minute Holden returns home to a seductive Lily. After love-making, Lily calls Carly to thank her for her role in her plans. Jack, who overhears the conversation, threatens to call Holden to tell the truth about Lily’s scheme and Carly’s role in the scheme. Carly convinces Jack to keep his mouth shut, but also jabs him for being unable to handle the fact that he enjoyed spending time at her house. The next day, Holden goes to Carly’s to pick up the kids and senses tension in the house on Jack’s part. Realizing that Lily asked Carly to help with their reunion, he hightails it back home to confront her. Despite Lily’s explanation, Holden is angry that she went to desperate measures to get what she wanted. Meanwhile, Carly has her own problems when she tells Sage that Jack will not be having any more sleepovers at their house.

Sabrina arrives at Reed’s christening, which takes Victoria by surprise. When Sharon and Phyllis bicker, Phyllis is upset when Nick agrees with Sharon. Daniel learns Amber’s true feelings for him. Jeff makes the suggestion for Jack to let Gloria stay in the Abbott mansion. Nick plays a treasure hunt for Phyllis on their anniversary. Lily and Cane are devastated by the news of her miscarriage. Gloria, meanwhile drops the news that she wants to adopt a child. Jill informs Katherine that Jeff will be moving into the mansion in an effort to get the goods on Gloria.

YOU THINK YOU KNOW HIM BUT YOU DON’T…

Skye, Adam’s ex-flame comes to Genoa City and immediately strikes up conversation with Brad. Nikki, upset that David is still keeping secrets from him, tells him that she can’t go through with marrying him. Brad sets up a poker game with David as the guest and Skye as the bait to destroy him. During the poker game, Skye sets David up by hustling him out of his money.
