The Inside Story: Tragedy Looms Over Genoa City
Feeling himself corned and seeing everything slipping away, Cane decides that Katherine and Jill need to know the truth about his past. As he is telling them both about Blake and his involvement with him, Colin suddenly arrives. Seeing that something is up, Colin and Cane step outside for a private conversation. Cane informs his father that he’s told Jill and Katherine about his past, and will soon tell them about who he really is. A furious Colin decides to step up his threats by telling Cane that if he opens his mouth to Jill and Katherine, he will have no choice but to get rid of Jill: permanently. Knowing that his father is true to his word, Cane has no choice but to continue telling Jill and Kay everything, minus everything he was going to reveal about Colin. Katherine, knowing that something more is troubling Cane, and her dislike for Colin, begins to wonder what else Cane was going to reveal. Getting the young man alone, Katherine learns that Lily is devastated by Cane’s revelation and promises to help him. She calls Lily and talks her into meeting Cane so that the two of them can talk some more. A hesitant Lily relents and the strained couple meet to talk. During their conversation, Lily tells Cane that if he’s not hiding anything else from her, he can come back home. The minute that he becomes hesitant, a furious Lily tells him that she wants him packed and out of the house immediately. Cane pleads with Lily that for her and their twins safety, he can’t reveal everything. Not wanting to hear any more of what he has to tell her, Lily demands that he pack his bags and move out. Once away from Cane and with the twins, Lily has a run in with Blake, who also tries to get him to hear his version of the ‘truth’, but an angry Lily lashes out, telling Blake to stay away from both her and her babies. Back at the apartment, Cane records a heartfelt message for the twins. A heartbroken Cane tries once more to talk to Lily in hopes of getting her to believe him. When he makes the suggestion to run away together, Lily tells him that he needs to stop running away from his problems and face them. It is then that Cane later sets a plan in motion to not only prevent Jill from marrying Colin but to also end his problems for good. An unhinged Blake is requested to take care of one more matter for Colin. As Lily leaves a building with the babies, Blake takes his aim. Seeing that his wife is in danger, Cane springs into action to save her. As Lily screams in horror, Cane’s body hits the ground. As news spreads about Cane, Malcolm and Neil race to be by her side, while back home, Victoria and Billy comfort Katherine and Jill. Later, when Colin comes to ‘comfort’ Jill, she makes the remark that she’ll make whoever harmed Cane pay dearly.

A Closer Look:Another Round of Losing It All
Wanting to gain permanent custody of Faith, Nick pleads his case to the judge, who agrees to give the case another look. It is the judge’s decision to bring Nick and Sharon back to the court room to determine who will obtain custody. While Nick feels confident that he will get his way, a nervous Sharon asks Adam to be there in court to give his moral support to her. Adam, however tells her that it is best to stay out of the court room, fearing that it could only hurt her chances if the judge sees him there. Once in court, Sharon takes to the stand and tells the judge that the primary reason why Nick is going after custody of Faith is because of her choice in who to be involved with. She further points out that she isn’t a bad parent at all; she loves her daughter, While the proceedings are still going, Adam watches on from a distance. The judge returns with a decision and crushes Sharon by saying that Nick will have full custody of Faith based off of the murder allegations against her. Sharon immediately pleads with Victor to help her but he rebuffs her by keeping the truth to himself. A broken-hearted Sharon has no choice but to give Faith back to Nick. When she’s at the station, Christine shares the evidence that has Sharon in the situation that she is in: the recording of her and Skye arguing by the volcano. News soon travels when Nick arrives and he outright admits that he thinks she is guilty; Sharon tells him that she never touched Skye. Adam, in the meantime, tries his best to turn the blame on Victor, but Christine turns a deaf ear to his accusations. Back at the holding cell, Sharon tries her best to get Nick to believe that she didn’t murder Skye and tells him about the bail. Nick, however, tells her that he will not put up the money to get her out of jail. Nick does, however, inform Noah about Sharon’s arrest. When their son hears this, he heads over to the jail and blasts Sharon for her need to be with Adam rather than her own family. In the meantime, Jack is approached by Adam, who tells him about Sharon being arrested for a crime Victor had to have committed. He too, asks Jack to help, but Jack coldly tells him that Sharon is no longer is business or concern. As everyone turns their back on helping, let alone believing Sharon, Sharon receives a visit from the one person she doesn’t want: Phyllis. Phyllis instantly gloats at her rival being in jail. Sharon snaps telling the red-head that if she truly wanted to do away with someone, she would have gotten rid of her a long time ago. With those honest words said to her, Phyllis believes that Sharon didn’t do the deed. Meanwhile, Nick confronts his father demanding to know what exactly happened when he whisked Skye to Hawaii. Y&R PreVUE: Week of December 13 Edition

    Photo/CBS

Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 11:19 PM ET by Venus Stone

    (SoapOperaNetwork.com) Read between the lines…

THIS WEEK ON:THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Nick deep freezes Phyllis over Restless Style's new expose. Tuesday, December 14th Jana thinks of making Daisy's baby her ace to get Kevin back in her life. That same day, Kevin declares that maybe Chloe and he being an item can't be all that bad. Victoria keeps falling short when it comes to the one thing she truly wants. On Thursday, December 16th Adam's lead could do him more harm than good. Things take a different turn between Nick and Diane, Friday, December 17th.

The Inside Story: Stop Spreading the News
With the new Restless Style out on the stands featuring both Adam and Sharon, a disgusted Nick goes to the office and rips into Billy. He points out that he fears that Noah will want to leave Genoa City again because of the way Sharon has been portrayed in the article. Unfazed, however, Billy gloats that he can write as he pleases and will continue to do so. Things get nasty, however, when Victoria stands by her man, pointing out to Nick that Sharon's actions are her own doing for being exploited. Angry that his sister would side with Billy, Nick points out that she's no better than Sharon is: choosing men of unworthy character. Hurt by his words, Victoria turns her back on Nick, leaving the problems between them even more harder to work out. Meanwhile, Adam and Sharon set out to prove that he didn't kill Skye. They both decide to head to the last place that Skye was seen to search for any type of clue to help clear his name. Phyllis, however, with the encouragement of Billy wanting more to add to the series about Adam, decides to start looking for clues to incriminate him. When she arrives at the hotel, she comes face-to-face with Adam and Sharon. Words fly between the three of them. Sharon shuts Phyllis up with a challenge: if evidence surfaces to prove Adam innocent, she has to write an article pointing that Adam was set up. Phyllis not fazed by Sharon's challenge throws one of her own: if Sharon and Adam can find actual proof that he's been set up, she'll put them in the magazine.

A Closer Look: A Dark Cloud Looms Over Cane
As dinner is set to take place at the Chancellor Estate, Jill unwittingly creates trouble for Cane when she brings Colin as her guest. Cane has a hard time controlling his composure when Colin purposely taunts him during the course of his being there. Colin soon starts to fill Jill in on a young lady named Samantha that he and Cane have in common with. Jill is even more transfixed on her new friend. Colin continues to taunt his son, as more details about Cane's past comes to light; one being offered to be a professional rugby player. The moment Cane and his father are alone, he demands that he leave him alone. Colin, however, unnerved issues his own warning: if he doesn't return back to the family business, he will do whatever to destroy his happy home by telling the truth about him to both Jill and Lily.
