Taboo as the topic of sex might be, it’s one subject that never fails to demand rapt attention. Sex sells, and daytime dramas have always known it; the term “love in the afternoon” didn’t spring from nothing! But just how much more provocative will TOLN’s online soaps, “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” be now that they’re no longer under strict network regulations? Soap Opera Network sat down with some of the show’s stars, all of whom were none too shy to open up and reveal the naked truth about the new love in the afternoon!
Last week, Soap Opera Network featured a Center Stage interview with “One Life to Live’s” legendary veteran, Erika Slezak (Victoria Lord). She opened up about the future of ‘OLTL,’ working with the fresh, young faces on the show, and what it’s been like to have show creator Agnes Nixon back at the helm. And this week, we’re revealing how she feels about Robin Strasser (Dorian Lord), what it’s like working with Roger Howarth (Todd Manning) versus working with Trevor St. John (Victor Lord), and who she’d like to see return to Llanview!
As we reported last week, “General Hospital’s” Ian Buchanan (Duke Lavery) is currently part of a four-episode arc on the web comedy “Old Dogs & New Tricks,” which follows the misadventures of four middle-aged gay friends in West Hollywood. He now has two episodes under his belt, meaning half the fun is yet to come!
“General Hospital’s” Jack Wagner (Frisco Jones) has been a busy man. In addition to his upcoming Sunday, March 17 appearance on “Celebrity Apprentice” with “All My Children’s” Susan Lucci (Erica Kane), which you can read more about here, he’s also set to appear on Nick at Nite’s new original series, “See Dad Run”!
When “All My Children” stars originally signed on to the A Tribute to Pine Valley tour, they viewed it as their last opportunity to say heartfelt, personal goodbyes to their most loyal fans. But now, with the show set to debut on TOLN on Monday, April 29, they’re looking at the tour dates as chances to party! And guess what? Two more celebratory Tribute dates have been added!
With six Outstanding Lead Actress Daytime Emmy Awards under her belt — or rather, on her shelf — “One Life to Live’s” Erika Slezak (Victoria Lord) is one woman to be respected. So when she says TOLN’s version of the iconic show she’s been a part of for more than 40 years is going to be stellar, you’d damn well better believe her!
“Days Of Our Lives’” Meredith Scott Lynn (Anne Milbauer) has had an impressive 25-year acting career, appearing in popular shows like “Weeds,” “American Horror Story,” and “Desperate Housewives,” as well as in the film “Legally Blonde.” But Anne is perhaps one of the most fun characters she’s ever played, simply because, as the actress puts it: “She’s such an extreme bitch!”
If you’re over the moon that Eden Riegel has reprised her role as “All My Children’s” Bianca Montgomery on TOLN’s version of the show, someone has you beat: The actress herself! “I’m so excited to be back playing Bianca again; it’s so surreal,” she exclaims. “I feel like I’m living in a dream.”

The cast of “All My Children” shot their first Prospect Park episodes the week of February 25 and the week of March 4, and now it’s “One Life To Live’s” turn: The show begins taping in the home it shares with “AMC” on Monday, March 22. Filled with excitement, the soaps’ stars have taken to Twitter to share everything from their thoughts on the new execs to sneak peeks at the very first scripts!
If you think “All My Children’s” Susan Lucci (Erica Kane) and “General Hospital's” Jack Wagner (Frisco Jones) have done it all, think again: The two are now joining forces — or rather facing off — on NBC’s hit reality competition program, “All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.”
There are lots of questions surrounding the Monday, April 29 launch of “All My Children” on The OnLine Network (TOLN), the main one being, “What can we expect?” Debbi Morgan (Angie Hubbard), Darnell Williams (Jessie Hubbard) and David Canary (Adam Chandler) took that question by storm during the show’s first official photo shoot in February, and while they couldn’t reveal storyline details, the three stars did open up about the high number of new and young faces on the show, how the shorter 30-minute time slot will affect their acting and how they feel about the women who hold Pine Valley’s future in their hands.
YouTube channel WIGS announced Wednesday that it has picked up Season Two of its web series, “Blue.” And guess what? “All My Children” alum, Mark Consuelos (Mateo Santos) will appear alongside the series’ star, Julia Stiles (“Silver Linings Playbook,” “10 Things I Hate About You”).
