Senior Concerns is hosting the 28th annual Ultimate Dining Experience this month, and it’s truly going to be ultimate, as “The Young and the Restless’” Jerry Douglas (ex-John Abbott) and his wife, Kym, are co-hosting this year’s event!
Anyone who’s been watching “The Young and the Restless” knows that the mother of all babydaddy storylines is about to play out between Chelsea McAvoy (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Michael Muhney), meaning that the cacophony of sweet “oohs” and “aahs” recently heard over baby Conner will quickly be turning into a frenzy of screaming arguments! Soap Opera Network sat down with Muhney to get his take on how his alter ego is going to react to the news that Chelsea’s baby is really his own, and the actor teases that the drama to come will make you cry like a — you guessed it — baby!

It was a rare day when “All My Children’s” Greenlee helped anyone but herself, but it’s a whole different story for her former portrayer, Rebecca Budig, whose new gig is exactly the opposite! It was just announced this morning that the Emmy-nominated actress has been named co-host for ‘The Better Show,’ an information talk show that incorporates Better Homes and Gardens, Parents, Family Circle, More and Fitness magazines along with entertainment, celebrity interviews, food, fashion and DIY-related content.
We’ve been keeping a little secret for over a month now, and we can finally reveal what we’ve been dying to report: Charles Shaughnessy and Patsy Pease are returning to “Days of our Lives” as Shane Donovan and Kimberly Brady!
Eileen Davidson may still be airing as “Days of our Lives’” Kristen DiMera, but that wasn’t a deal breaker for “The Young and the Restless,” which has signed the actress to return as Ashley Abbot later this year!
The drama just never stops for Prospect Park’s “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” with the latest shocking news regarding the online sudsers coming from the L.A. Times. According to the publication, Prospect Park is shelving ‘One Life to Live’ until the lawsuit it launched against ABC in April is resolved. Additionally, the company will focus on producing “AMC,” with writers having already started work on scripts for the second season of the show.
“The Young and the Restless” brought the soap opera community to tears this past May with an emotional and very well planned memorial for the late Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor), who passed away due to an illness that same month. And now the sudser is pulling out all of the stops yet again to honor the character Cooper played for 40 years. The emotional storyline has already begun playing out with several of Genoa City’s residents receiving letters from the grand dame, and Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) says this is just the start of a powerful story arc that will change the small Wisconsin town in more ways than one.

“The Young and the Restless’” Eva Marcille (ex-Tyra Hamilton) has some good news: She and her husband, songwriter Kevin McCall, are expecting their first child! The couple broke the news to BET first, where the actress gave an exclusive interview.
Justin Bruening fans may want to prepare themselves for a few extra heartbeats in the months ahead, because the seriously sexy actor is headed to ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars” spinoff, “Ravenswood.”
“All My Children’s” Finn Wittrock (ex-Damon Miller) is no stranger to working with powerful, older women; his onscreen affair with Jamie Luner’s Liza Colby was a controversial cougar storyline that had soap fans’ tongues wagging for months during the soaps ABC run. So working with Angelia Jolie shouldn’t be a problem for the Massachusetts native, who’s been cast in “Unbroken,” a World War II film being directed by Brad Pitt’s super sultry wife.
Now that snickers over the disastrous Miley Cyrus MTV VMA performance have died down, giggles and laughs of another sort are flying through the entertainment-sphere over the rumor that “Teen Mom” alum Farrah Abraham has been cast on “Days of our Lives” as a hooker! But is it true that the reality star turned porn star is now a soap opera star?
Patrick Swayze died of pancreatic cancer in 2009. The fatal disease took the life of Apple CEO Steve Jobs in 2011. Even Bonnie Franklin, who guest-starred on “The Young and the Restless” as Sister Celeste just last year lost her battle with the deadly cancer in March. And Michael Muhney (Adam Newman), having lost his uncle several years ago to the very same affliction, is speaking up once again to let the world know that it’s time we put a stop to the horrific and painful cancer that claims the lives of nearly 40,000 people each year.
Dying to know what’s going to happen between “All My Children’s” Brooke (Julia Barr), Adam (David Canary) and Dimitri (Michael Nader)? Well wait no more, because the-soon-to-be (or not-to-be) onscreen Mrs. Chandler has revealed what’s in store for the savvy journalist’s future with the two men and more!
