“The Young and the Restless’” Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is in for a surprise come 2014 in the form of a very unexpected blast from her past: Ian Ward, the former cult leader she knew back in the 80s, is headed to Genoa City!
A show rep confirms that actor Ray Wise begins taping on Friday, December 13, as Ward, whom Nikki met during her time at New World Commune about 30 years ago. As fans now know, Victor’s wife got pregnant during her stay at the NWC, and the child she gave birth to — yet never saw — is town newbie Dylan McAvoy (Steve Burton).
Wise, who’ll be appearing in multiple episodes and working with several “Y&R” actors, is known for his roles on shows like “Twin Peaks,” “24,” “Mad Men” and “How I Met Your Mother.” Watch for his Genoa City debut on Thursday, January 23.
It’s been exactly one year since Argentinian actor Ignacio Serricchio first aired as “The Young and the Restless’” Alejandro “Alex” Chavez, and there are a few things fans of the show have learned about the actor in that year: He’s incredibly talented, he’s incredibly sexy, and he’s incredibly kind. But when Soap Opera Network recently caught up with him at one of his stand-up comedy performances (yes, he does stand-up comedy), we learned that he’s much more talented, sexy and kind than anyone even imagines. And we’ve got the quotes to prove it!
CBS’ Daytime Emmy Award Winning game show, “The Price Is Right,” is honoring its former host, Bob Barker, in a big way: In honor of the legendary TV personality’s 90th birthday, the show is featuring a week of pet adoptions as well as a special appearance from Barker himself!
To catch all of the fun, be sure to tune into the “The Price Is Right” the week of December 9 through the 13, and tune in on Thursday, December 12 to catch Barker’s special birthday appearance!
It’s a baby kind of day today: Not only are “The Young and the Restless’” Robert Adamson (Noah Newman) and “The Bold and the Beautiful’s’” Linsey Godfrey expecting their first child together (which you can read more about here), “One Life to Live” alums Kamar de los Reyes (ex-Antonio Vega) and Sherri Saum (ex-Keri Reynolds; Lena, “The Fosters”) are reportedly expecting twins!
“[The pair] are so thrilled to welcome the little ones into the world in early summer,” says Saum’s rep in a statement shared with US Weekly.
“We are so excited,” Saum adds via Twitter, where she also posted a sonogram picture. “No plans to bring this into the show, they already have so many amazing stories to tell — we’ll work it out somehow!”
Congratulations Saum and de los Reyes!
Halloween 2014 is looking super spooky already: Soap stars Brandon Beemer (ex-Owen Knight, “The Bold and the Beautiful”) and Felisha Terrell (ex-Arianna Hernandez, “Days of our Lives”) have joined the cast of “Fear Clinic,” a horror film based on the successful FearNet.com web series “The Fear Chamber.”
The film version follows Robert Englund (Freddy Kruger in the “Nightmare Before Elm Street” franchise) as Dr. Andover, a physician who treats patients afflicted with crippling phobias via hallucinations he creates using his homemade exposure therapy invention, The Fear Chamber. A tragic event sends five people to the good doctor who, while trying to help them overcome their trauma, discovers something very sinister may be at work.
Christmas is coming a little bit early for fans of Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery, “All My Children”) this year. The actor is gracing the small screen alongside Jennie Garth (“Beverly Hills, 90210”) in an ABC Family “25 Days of Christmas” film titled “Holidaze.”
The feel-good flick follows Melody (Garth), a high-powered workaholic who plans on spending the holidays jet-setting with friends — until her boss sends her to her sleepy hometown with the task of convincing the townspeople to allow the building of a new discount store! Everyone — including her old friends and high school sweetheart, Carter (Mathison) — are opposed to the idea, which starts a recipe for trouble. Desperate to get out of town and back to her normal life, Melody takes a spill and wakes up in an alternate universe where she never left town and is married to Carter!
The flood of “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” stars visiting “The Price Is Right” as celebrity guest models continues this month, the network recently announced. Keep your eyes peeled on the following dates:
“The Young and the Restless’” Robert Adamson (Noah Newman) and “The Bold and the Beautiful’s’” Linsey Godfrey (Caroline Spencer) have good news to share: The couple are expecting a baby together!
Adamson shared the happy news on Facebook that Godfrey is carrying his child; a picture of her sonogram photo was included. “Guess What?! How do I tag a future family member?” he wrote. “Should I make it a page? — with Linsey Michelle.”
The actor later posted another update announcing that Godfrey is 11 ½ weeks along in her pregnancy.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
