THE SCOOP

With Max Ehrich unavailable due to personal reasons, CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” is forging ahead with the return of Fenmore Baldwin courtesy of daytime newcomer Zach Tinker.

First reported by Soap Opera Digest, Fenmore is returning to Genoa City beginning Monday, December 3 with a few surprises for his parents, Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman). This marks the first time the character will be seen on the soap since Ehrich last appeared in May 2015.

Late last week, the singer/actor revealed that the show had asked him back for upcoming appearances, but due to a “bizarre stalker” issue, he was unable. “I was asked to do a special stint back on the show, but due to the bizarre stalker issue I had; It was unsafe at the time and I had to postpone,” said the actor in his Instagram posting. “I grew up on #YR and learned so much. Forever grateful for the privilege of working on such an iconic show. Unfortunately, was unable to be there during that time of filming.”

In late October, Tinker was able to beat out “like 10 other dudes” for the role. The actor shared on his Instagram page at the time that on the day of his audition he was “looking like a sack of potatoes with a zit in between my eyebrows,” and had a case of the sugar, honey, ice T’s.

Earlier this year, Tinker wrapped filming of the horror/thriller “Payment Received.” The film follows a band traveling to Mississippi for their big break only to find themselves spending a petrifying night in a vacation home filled with dangerous and mysterious figures plotting their demise. The actor has also appeared in episodes of CBS’ “NCIS,” NBC’s “Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders” and TNT’s “Murder in the First.”
