From soap star to DC Comics character. Jeff Branson (ex-Ronan Malloy, “The Young and the Restless”) has landed the recurring role of Master Jailer on CBS primetime series “Supergirl.”

As a commanding jail guard on Fort Rozz, Master Jailer showed no mercy. Now on Earth, he is determined to catch all the Fort Rozz escapees and brutally bring them to justice.

Branson last appeared on “Y&R” when Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) summoned him back to Genoa City to help find his daughter Abby, who he believed had been kidnapped. He stayed in town to investigate Ricky Williams’ death and the attempted murder charge against Phyllis for hitting Paul and Christine Williams (Doug Davidson and Lauralee Bell) with a car nearly two decades earlier.
