After a tumultuous fall season, ABC’s “The View” seems to be turning things around. The daytime talk show beat competing “The Talk” during the week of January 4-8, 2016 in Women 18-49 with its widest margin of the season. “The Talk,” however, beat the “The View” in both Total Viewers” and Women 25-54.
With 2.944 million viewers, “The View” attracted its largest audience since February 2015 (week of 2/23/15) and marked its strongest performance in both Women 25-54 (592,000/1.0)and Women 18-49 (453,000/0.7) since March 2015 (week of 3/16/15). The talk show was up week-to-week (2.640Â million, Â 529,000 and 365,000, respectively, on w/o 12/28/15) in Total Viewers (+12%), Women 25-54 (+12%) and Women 18-49 (+24%) and hit season highs across the board. The show was also +2% compared to the same week last year (2.944 million vs. 2.876 million on w/o 1/5/15).

Despite an increasing “View,” CBS’ “The Talk” beat the ABC talk show in Total Viewers and Women 25-54. The daytime talker attracted 3.01 million viewers, its largest in 11 months. It was up 12% compared to prior week in Total Viewers (vs. 2.69 million)The show was even in both Women 25-54 (1.0/6) and Women 18-49 (0.7/04) week-to-week.
