‘GH’s’ Nancy Lee Grahn, William deVry Tease “Huge” Drama at Julian/Alexis Wedding

General Hospital’s” Nancy Lee Grahn and William deVry are heading to the chapel to get married as Alexis Davis and Julian Jerome on the soap’s Friday, February 19 episode and tease that there will be “huge” drama at the wedding.

“It’s sweeps,” points out Grahn in an interview with TV Insider, while deVry adds that the unexpected drama is “pretty huge.”

Considering Sonny (Maurice Benard) recently threatened Julian, his longtime nemesis, does that mean the drama could be mob related? “I think Julian is done with the mob and that they plan to keep him in publishing and figure out a way to make that work…with some zigzags along the way,” notes deVry.

Drama aside, expect the Julexis wedding to be a big, splashy affair. The whole thing requires two full shooting days, which is a lot for us,” contends deVry. “It’s been a while since GH gave the audience an extravagant wedding like this.”

The extravagant wedding will even feature the bride wearing a gown, even though Grahn hates the idea. “It’s wrong. It’s unseemly,” insists the daytime vet. “I tried on one that was straight out of ‘What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?’ Lace at my age would be a disaster. And I can’t stand the idea of a veil.”

“It would probably be more appropriate if Alexis and Julian did it simply, quietly, maturely,” adds deVry, joking that this isn’t “Alexis’ first time at the rodeo.”

Indeed. Grahn has said “I Do” numerous times during her long soap career, but there’s one person in her family who is always thrilled to watch her every trip down the aisle.

“My mother gets great satisfaction from watching all my soap weddings. It’s the closest she’s ever going to get!” laughs Grahn.
