THE NUMBERS

The death of Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian) and the dilemma surrounding who would get his heart — Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) or Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) — helped lift NBC’s “Days of our Lives” to its most watched week in two years in Total Viewers and an 18-month high in Women 18-49, according to Nielsen Media Research ratings data for the week of January 4-8, 2016.

With 2.914 million viewers, “DAYS” tied for fifth among all daytime programs in Women 18-49 (0.91/6) and tied for eighth in Women 18-34 (0.49). “DAYS'” Women 18-49 rating was its highest since the week of July 14-18, 2014 (0.93). In viewers, only the week of January 6-10, 2014 (2.991) attracted more viewers than last week.

Versus the same week last year, the soap is up 11% in Women 18-49 (0.91 vs. 0.82), up 11% in Women 18-34 (0.49 vs. 0.44) and up 19% in Total Viewers (2.914 million vs. 2.452 million).

For the “most current” season, “DAYS” ranks sixth in Women 18-49 and seventh in Women 18-34. The soap is up 3% compared to the 2014-15 television season in Total Viewers (2.869 million vs. 2.777 million).

Season-to-date averages include L+7 figures with the exception of the most recent two weeks, which are L+SD.
