With a streak that began with the week of December 26, 1988, CBS' "The Young and the Restless" has now stood at the top of the Nielsen ratings among total viewers for 27 consecutive years, it was announced today by Angelica McDaniel, Executive Vice President, Daytime Programs and Syndicated Program Development, CBS Entertainment and CBS Television Distribution.
