HBO Renews ‘Silicon Valley’ and ‘Veep’ For Second and Fourth Seasons, Respectively

After just three episodes, HBO has renewed its critically acclaimed comedy series "Silicon Valley" and "Veep" for a second and fourth season, respectively, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming. The renewals follow the recent two-season renewal of “Game of Thrones.”

After just three episodes, HBO has renewed its critically acclaimed comedy series “Silicon Valley” and “Veep” for a second and fourth season, respectively, it was announced today by Michael Lombardo, president, HBO Programming. The renewals follow the recent two-season renewal of “Game of Thrones.”

Created by Mike Judge (“Office Space,” “Beavis & Butt-head,” “King of the Hill”) and Alec Berg, “Silicon Valley” takes a comedic look at the creation of startup companies in the San Francisco Bay area, famous for its hosing of such notable companies as Apple, Facebook, Google, Netflix and Pixar. The cast includes Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Amanda Crew and the late Christopher Evan Welch. Matt Ross guest stars. The series airs Sundays at 10:00 PM ET/PT.

Created by Armando Iannucci, “Veep” stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Selina Meyer, who becomes vice president, only to discover the job is nothing like she expected, but everything she was warned about. The cast includes Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Reid Scott, Matt Walsh, Timothy C. Simons, Sufe Bradshaw and Kevin Dunn. The series airs Sundays at 10:30 PM ET/PT.
