This week on “The Young and the Restless” marks the first full week following the dramatic exits of popular actors Billy Miller and Michael Muhney as their characters, Billy Abbott and Adam Newman, respectively, seemingly perished after the vehicle they were in flipped over and exploded. This immediately followed Billy’s battle to get Adam to reveal the truth of his supposed involvement in the tragic death of Billy’s daughter, Delia. While Adam appears to have disappeared following the accident, Billy eventually survives and is now being portrayed once again by David Tom beginning with today’s episode. Also, on Wednesday, February 5, Tristan Rogers returns as he brings his character Colin Atkinson back into the orbit of Jill Fenmore Abbott (Jess Walton).

I think Y&R dropped the ball by not having David Tom emerge from the crash on Friday. Maybe it would have been too much to handle, nevertheless looking forward to the rest of the fall out this week. Welcome back David, and Tristan!

No offense to David Tom, whom I adored in his first run as Billy Abbott, but the departures of Billy Miller & Michael Muhney left a bitter taste in my mouth. Also, the fact that half the cast consists of “newbies” that I don’t even care about, makes Y&R unrecognizable and unwatchable for me. Sorry!
