Just as CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” are enjoying some of their highest ratings in several years, NBC’s “Days of our Lives” is also enjoying its best rating in Women 18-49 in two years and its best overall audience in nearly three years, per Nielsen Media Research ratings data.

During the week of December 30, 2013 – January 3, 2014, “DAYS” averaged 3.021 million viewers, which was its largest weekly viewer total since the week of January 31 – February 4, 2011, when it averaged 3.030 million viewers. In Women 18-49, “DAYS” tied for 6th place amongst all daytime programs (including game shows and talk shows) with a 1.0 rating/6 share as 669,000 women in the key sales demo tuned in. This marked the soaps best performance in the demographic since the week of November 21 – 25, 2011, when 703,000 women in the demo tuned in.

Amongst Women 18-34, the soap tied for 5th place last week with a 0.6 rating as 212,000 women in the demo tuned in. “DAYS” was up a whopping 42% compared to the same week last year in the demo (212,000 vs 149,000), up 28% year-over-year in Women 18-49 (669,000 vs 522,000), up 21% year-over-year in Women 25-54 (786,000 vs 652,000) and up 23% in total viewers (3.0 million vs. 2.5 million).

Season to date, “Days of our Lives” is tied for 6th place in Women 18-49 and tied for 5th in the Women 18-34 demo. Additionally, “Days of our Lives” is up 8% in the Women 18-34 (217,000 vs. 201,000), up 13% in the Women 18-49 (700,000 vs. 617,000), up 13% in the Women 25-54 (854,000 vs. 758,000), and up 10% in total viewers (2.9 million vs. 2.6 million) for the season.
