On Saturday, March 8, 2014, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (HFH GLA) will host the 5th Annual General Hospital Fan Build, where fans of the daytime soap opera get an opportunity to spend a day building a home with several of their favorite cast members. The event, which is part of Habitat's entertainment partnership program, was started up by "General Hospital's" Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny Zacchara) and Lisa LoCicero (Olivia Falconeri) in 2009 as a way to reward fans for their loyalty to the show, while at the same time doing a good deed.

On Saturday, March 8, 2014, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (HFH GLA) will host the 5th Annual General Hospital Fan Build, where fans of the daytime soap opera get an opportunity to spend a day building a home with several of their favorite cast members. The event, which is part of Habitat’s entertainment partnership program, was started up by “General Hospital’s” Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny Zacchara) and Lisa LoCicero (Olivia Falconeri) in 2009 as a way to reward fans for their loyalty to the show, while at the same time doing a good deed.

If interested, fans are advised to register online for one of 20 build spots available. In order to take part, however, a minimum donation of $275 is required. 100% of the proceeds helps HFH GLA build homes for hardworking, low-income families and other individuals in the greater Los Angeles area.

Cast members currently scheduled to take part in the fan build, along with LoCicero, include:

  • William Devry (Julian Jerome)
  • Kathleen Gati (Liesl Obrecht)
  • Maura West (Ava Jerome)
  • Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Webber)
  • Robin Mattson (Heather Webber)
  • Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne)
  • Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri)

Habitat notes that additional cast members will be announced soon, and should fans want to follow the progression of the build on social media, they should use hashtag #GHFanBuild5 on Twitter.

Additional Information

A limited number of build spots have been made available on a first come first served basis. The 5thAnnual General Hospital Fan Build Day will take place Saturday, March 8, 2014 at an undisclosed location in greater Los Angeles. Registered volunteers must be at least 18 years old.  Register here to attend.  Space is limited and this will sell out.
