With sudden word that would soon be departing ABC’s “,” one could only imagine what may have been the catalyst behind the actor’s decision. Looks like a move [back] to “” may have persuaded the actor to say goodbye once more to Port Charles’ Robert Scorpio and hello again to Genoa City’s Colin Atkinson, Cane Ashby’s () father. A spokesperson for the CBS drama series confirms to Soap Opera Network that the actor is returning to the soap in early 2014.

“We are excited that Tristan Rogers is returning to Y&R,” said the spokesperson. “The character of Colin Atkinson will be back in Genoa City in early 2014,” they added.

In a CBS Connect chat with fans on Tuesday, November 12, (Jill Foster Abbott) alluded that a big storyline was in store for her character, but wasn’t able to say exactly what said storyline entailed. “Oh, my god! Oh, my god…and I’m not lying!” said an excited Walton when a fan asked the question of upcoming story. She added, “I got one in particular [and] you’re going to die! You’re all going to die!” Could this have anything to do with Jill and Colin possibly being in each other’s orbits once more? You’ll have to tune in to find out in 2014!

WHOA! Second smartest thing Jill has done. GH fans must been in tears, all I’ve read all summer is “where is Robert” Welcome home Tristan!

    This is horrible, horrible, horrible.

  • Oh my

This people crack me up every time they have an interview with an upcoming story and they ALL say how MAGNIFICENT it’s going to be. Then when it airs I’m like — THAT’s what they were carrying on about???? Like when the guy who plays Michael Baldwin said how incredible the Carmine story was going to be. I think he went on to say it was the best story his character has EVER been in. NOT!!!!! It’s been a complete snooze fest and fans across message boards have been clamoring for it to end already…. I would love to see Jill in a great story (God knows this show needs one), but I’m not getting my hopes up. I never saw where the Colin character was all that interesting the first time through, so why would a second visit be suddenly better???????
