I’m grateful that my mother is still alive. She lives with me, and we are friends. And I love her. How nice to be able to say that as a daughter about your mother. I take care of her, and I don’t start my day until I know what she wants to do. We make lists, and we get them done. She has a good life. I love her. It’s very European, when parents get older, they move in with their children, the family. The circle has to be completed. It should be that way. People say, ‘It’s so nice of you to take care of your mother.’ No, that’s the way it really should be.”
