Investigation Discovery announced today that it has greenlit a third season of its hit series, "Deadly Affairs." Hosted by Susan Lucci ("All My Children"), the series provides audiences with titillating tales of murder and mayhem after relationships begin to falter. The program was one of ID's top five shows in the 3rd quarter of 2013 in Women 25-54, Women 18-49 and Persons 25-54. In P2+, "Affairs" reached over 9.7 million unique viewers. The new season will premiere in summer 2014.

Investigation Discovery Gives Susan Lucci More ‘Deadly Affairs’ To Handle

“We just can’t get enough of Susan Lucci — our affair with her is out in the open and we couldn’t be happier to continue for a third season,” said Henry Schleiff, Group President, Investigation Discovery, Military Channel and Destination America.  “Our viewers are often tempted by the suspense of ‘will they or won’t they?’ — and with ‘Deadly Affairs,’ we already know they did — and they probably shouldn’t have!”

I am so excited to be going into Season three with ‘Deadly Affairs,” said Lucci of the pickup. “And I’m even more excited that so many fans are telling me that they are ‘addicted’ to the show!”

“Deadly Affairs” is produced for Investigation Discovery by Sirens Media. For Sirens Media, Valerie Haselton Drescher, Rebecca Toth Diefenbach, and Anne Rothwell are executive producers. For Investigation Discovery, Pamela Deutsch is executive producer, Sara Kozak is senior vice president of production, and Henry Schleiff is group president.
