UPDATE: After our report was published, Morgan added to her statements on Twitter where she said, “I guess what really hurts my gut R all the positive proclamations I gave 2 all of U that we’d definitely coming back Bcuz those were the earnest proclamations we’d been given! I’m so very sorry 2c U disappointed yet again & believe me we feel the same!!! Thanks 4 all the support & luv U gave hoping this would work. We never know what’s in God’s plan. I do know there’s always a bigger picture!” Morgan concluded her tweets with, “Thanks For The Memories…”

PREVIOUS: When word came to light that was getting ready to announce it had decided to not move forward with either “” or “,” as had been expected (The OnLine Network Announces First Season Finales of ‘AMC’ and ‘OLTL’), fans were gearing up for the worst, but what about the actors? When a fan tweeted to “AMC” star  (Dr. Angela Hubbard), “AMC FB page fans angry, some quitting show and Hulu. Some demanding PP give statement one way or the other. WOW!” the actress responded by saying, “U can imagine how all the cast is feeling being that we’re still in the dark as well…” Morgan’s comments are in direct contrast to her comment on Sunday, October 27, where she sounded more upbeat when she said, “Many R asking when AMC is coming back. Wish I could give a definitive date. All I can give U is what we’re given. The Show ‘Is’ coming back!”

In a subsequent tweet, Morgan said, “Yes, it’s all over social media. But we’ve still not received official word from Prospect Park.” She added, “Nobody has told us anything.”

While not denying that both “AMC” and “OLTL” are in fact done for good this time, a rep for Prospect Park reiterated to Soap Opera Network today that “no announcement planned” at this time regarding the fate of either series.

Errol, I think that the reason why there will be no announcement about AMC and OLTL getting cancelled is because they probably aren’t getting cancelled, and PP is still trying to work out its kinks, and also concentrating on their lawsuit against ABC! This “big announcement” rumor about PP cancelling both shows again just came from unreliable sources and speculation!

At this point I am taking anything other than an official announcement as unreliable, even statements from cast and staff members. I don’t think anyone knows whether or not either show is coming back at this point.

I understand, however you know the old saying “where’s there’s smoke, there’s fire” so odds are that, for the time being at least, they are not promoting a ‘Season Two’. They [Prospect Park] own the shows, have put quite a bit into the launch, I thought it was considered very successful – maybe they will be back in the Spring, as they were last April. Like many others I too am not holding my breath, and it surely doesn’t look terribly promising, and the usually very communicative actors and Producers are being astonishingly quiet, it’s all so shrouded in mystery. There is one thing that is quite clear: Prospect Park needs to step up to the Plate and make SOME kind of Official Announcement!

Then Prospect Park should say Season 2 will be back but we don’t know when, they didn’t deny the rumors either.

  • Dan

the people who probably perpetrated the rumor are likely abc. it makes sense since they love sabatog.

  • Peter Harley Robertson

“SAD” ____ ABC/DISNEY destroyed all chances for these shows….

  • Johnny

I, like many others, literally don’t know WHAT to think at this point. Prospect Park needs to release an Official statement concerning the status of the future of the show on-line. All we have to go on are speculation and rumors. I don’t see why abc-tv can’t do an abridged version of AMC, it doesn’t have to be a full hour.

When I said neither show was going to survive everyone got angry. Ratings are horrible, and the ‘fans’ just aren’t willingly to watch their so called favorite show, they would rather watch on Youtube where ratings don’t count. Goodbye.

The ratings were great, AMC was top 5 on Hulu and Itunes, It;s a;; about the money..

They get us going, and then they cut us back. I knew it wasn’t going to work from the get go, I didn’t like how All My Children was going, it was like a KID SHOW, the only ADULT DRAMA on the whole show was with Brooke & Adam and Angie and Jessie. If it was longer than 1/2 an hour i would not have been watching it. But I would of loved to see how it ended.

  • Jewell Margolis

I’m not holding onto hope the second time around.

    • Johnny

I sadly agree. I don’t think I’m willing to board this emotional Roller coaster again, I had tried to be understanding and patient with Prospect Park’s strange way of handling things – if ALL MY CHILDREN returns, fine, but I’m surely not holding my breath.
