“I think my best memory of ‘Days of our Lives’ was working with Eileen Davidson [Kristen DiMera]. She was just as much a teacher to me as a friend, and I learned a lot from her. I think she was probably the first time I saw very much a veteran of soaps not act like a veteran. Sometimes people get very comfortable with their jobs and feel that they don’t have to work as hard as they used to, maybe because there’s a certain entitlement that comes with longevity. She didn’t show any of that. She came to work as a young spring chicken every day, and she was always excited about it, even nervous about it and worried that it wasn’t the best it could be. My work ethic also got better with her. I attribute that to her.”
