There’s a ‘Halo’ of light surrounding the mother of pop sensation, Beyoncé, these days: It seems Tina Knowles is all lit up for former “All My Children” and “Dynasty” actor Richard Lawson!

Knowles showed up at New York City’s Angel Ball Tuesday evening with the actor, who played “Dynasty’s” Nick Kimball from 1986 to 1987 and “AMC’s” Lucas Barnes from 1992 to 1993, on her arm. And according to E! News, Beyoncé’s mom will be partying with the ‘Single Ladies’ no more: She and Lawson are officially dating!

If you couldn’t get enough of Cynthia Watros as “Guiding Light’s” crazy Annie Dutton Banks or as “Lost’s” sympathetic psychologist, Libby Smith, you’re in luck: She’ll be tackling an equally intense role during her upcoming stint on “The Young and the Restless.”

When thinking of who to cast as Kelly, a grieving mother who lost her son and connects with Billy (Billy Miller) over the recent death of his and Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) daughter, Delia, “Y&R’s” executive producer, Jill Farren Phelps, knew Watros would shine, leading her to contact the actress’ agent. And as soon as the Michigan native heard the details of what Phelps had in mind for Kelly, she was sold. “I really wanted to work with Jill again… and daytime has always been very special to me, because that was my first job, on ‘Guiding Light.’ So I feel very happy to return,” the actress says. “The characters [on “Y&R”] are rich in depth, and it’s just a really well-constructed soap. So I was excited to be part of [it].”

“Days of our Lives” actor Drake Hogestyn (John Black) delivered a very happy Halloween treat to fans today: He tweeted confirmation that he is indeed returning to the NBC sudser!

“Happy All Hallow’s Eve!” he wrote. “The Treat?…I’m back in Salem!”

But the Trick? “I sold my house and have no place to live!” he shares. “Now that’s scary! Yikes!”

A rep for the show was unable to comment on Hogetyn’s return, but as we reported earlier this month, since the sudser tapes about four months ahead, fans can expect to see John onscreen some time in early 2014.

In the meantime, Soap Opera Network wishes the actor luck in finding a new place to hang his hat!

Today marked the end of a four-year chapter for “Days of our Lives” fan favorite Casey Deidrick (Chad DiMera), who entered Salem as Will’s (Chandler Massey’s) hated rival back in 2009 and is now exiting the canvas as the much-loved and integral character, son of Stefano (Joseph Mascolo). In honor of the occasion, Soap Opera Network spoke with Deidrick’s former onscreen love, Kate Mansi (Abigail), who tearfully recalls taping her final scene with Deidrick and opens up about how she truly feels about the star’s exit!

Hold onto your hats, because one hunky soap star is headed to “Days of our Lives’” Salem: former “As The World Turns” star Mark Collier!

A rep for the show confirms that the actor, who played “ATWT’s” Mike from 2002-2007, has indeed joined the NBC sudser and will begin airing in late December. However, no additional details are being released at this time.

Funny enough, this casting tidbit has caused soap worlds to collide: “DAYS” star Shawn Christian (Daniel Jonas) originated the role of “ATWT’s” Mike, the very role which Collier began playing when the now-defunct soap decided to bring the character back to the canvas in 2002!
