Prospect Park’s The OnLine Network announced earlier today its decision to release all weekly episodes of both “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” on Mondays, instead of the previously scheduled Mondays and Wednesdays for “AMC” and Tuesdays and Thursdays for “OLTL,” beginning Monday, July 1Jeff Kwatinetz, co-founder, Prospect Park, tells Soap Opera Network via email, “The only difference is greater availability,” when asked how the change affects upcoming airdates of both soaps. “If [viewers] still want to watch one ep each day, or just an ‘AMC’ ep every Monday or Wed, there will be a new one there. If they want to watch the full weeks shows at once starting Monday they will all be there. This is completely giving MORE options to viewers. How could that be a bad thing?”

Just release four episodes per week of both shows and let the viewer decided! Quit fucking around with the schedule.

    2 episode is not enough!

They don’t have enough episodes in their arsenal…until production resumes in August…they may then to decide to release 4 per a show per a week. That is my hope anyway

    Love it. Thanks PP

While I still agree 2 episodes a week is not enough, I am THRILLED that both episodes will be released at once, and not have a day lag in between half hour shows.

What happened to you wanting us to watch daily shows and not binge viewing? Last month that wasn’t okay to do, but now this month it is? Will we still be able to do it in a week or two weeks? I mean tell us once and for all how often we get to watch these shows and what way it is okay to watch these shows.

  • Renee

I am glad that the shows have returned and I am more than happy that OWN is going to rerun the first 40 episodes of both soaps, but the be frank about it I’m getting a little aggravated at being jerked around with the scheduling of these shows. It seems like every few weeks they are making changes to when and how they are going to release them. How many we are going to have released each week. It’s just a never ending process. Please TOLN make up your mind and let’s only do it one way and keep it that way. All the changes are confusing and are causing people to stop watching. I’m seeing posts every day of people losing interest because of it. We certainly don’t want that to happen.

The only things that matter are:

    - that these shows are back

    - that their success continues and grows

    - that we build more and more pressure for a network to pick them up again

    - that we are living proof that no other genre has such a vivid and loyal fan base,
    i. e. the most attractive viewers advertisers can get via daytime TV.
