EMMYS: CBS Touts Award Wins

Going into Sunday's Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards telecast, CBS Daytime was the most honored network with 51 nominations. By the end of the night, the network went home with 21 statues (eight during broadcast and 13 from creative arts on Friday) covering all genres including soap operas "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "The Young and the Restless," game shows "The Price is Right" and "Let's Make a Deal" and talk show "The Talk."

EMMYS: CBS Touts Award Wins

Going into Sunday's Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards telecast, CBS Daytime was the most honored network with 51 nominations. CBS Captures Eight Wins at Broadcast Ceremony and 13 Wins at Creative Ceremony, More Than Any Other Network

Game Show Icon Monty Hall Of The Original “Let’s Make A Deal” Honored With The Lifetime Achievement Award

CBS led all networks with a combined 21 wins at “The 40th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards” broadcast and creative ceremonies this weekend. THE PRICE IS RIGHT, daytime’s #1 show and the longest-running game show in television history, won its sixth Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Game Show, and CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD, television’s #1 Sunday morning news program, won its first Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Morning Program.

Other top wins included Outstanding Lead Actor Doug Davidson of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS (his first win in his 38 year career on the show), and an Outstanding Lead Actress win for THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL’s Heather Tom, her fifth overall.

Scott Clifton of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL and Billy Miller of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS tied for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, while THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL picked up awards for Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Writing.

In addition, game show icon Monty Hall of the original LET’S MAKE A DEAL was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to him by the current host, Wayne Brady.
