Dorothy’s ruby red slippers are to movie buffs what “All My Children’s” Cluck Cluck Chicken Shack suit is to soap opera buffs: Memorable, iconic and totally museum worthy. And thanks to a recent partnership between The Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and the National Academy of Televisions Arts & Sciences, things like Tad Martin’s (Michael E. Knight) bright yellow suit — along with many other daytime TV artifacts and memorabilia — just may be appearing alongside those “Wizard Of Oz” slippers!

According to Entertainment Tonight, the beloved national museum and NATAS hope to amass a collection of costumes, scripts, photographs, awards, props and other materials recognizable to daytime TV fans. The two organizations are also working on identifying actors, writers, talk show hosts, game show hosts, journalists, producers and directors who have influenced the culture of America — and “AMC’s” Susan Lucci (Erica Kane) is reportedly the first star confirmed to participate in this very special partnership!

There’s no word yet on when the Daytime TV collection will be ready for exhibit, but when it does appear, it will be alongside other iconic items like Mr. Roger’s sweater, a signed baseball from the 1937 All-Star game and dresses worn by first ladies Jacqueline Kennedy and Michelle Obama.
