GH ratings up? Not as much as I would like to see. They still are showing last place.

ABC as well as NBC and CBS are now aware that most of the viewers are not being counted into the ratings provided by Nielsen and trust me it will not be long before things change.  ABC execs renewed GH because they know that it is still incredibly popular but the ratings are not reflective of that.  All the remaining soaps’ production companies and broadcasting networks are working hard to get Nielsen to count their actual viewers instead of a 1950’s era estimate that is now what is being used as real data by Nielsen.  The soaps that skew younger like Days and GH have been the biggest victims of this flaw in counting the viewership as their viewers are more likely to watch via DVR, online, or soapnet which is not counted in these numbers.

If one takes a look around them, at the people  they know, the soaps are some of the most popular TV shows that are on the air.

I wish they would bring back the old  background music and stop using sound effects so much.  Last week it was starting to get better I thought, then this week was really bad again.  It makes me want to not watch, but I keep hoping he will change this.  It is just doesn’t feel like GH to me.

Dvr does count if you watch before, midnight eastern time.
