What does ABC/Disney expect?  The Chew, Dr Oz, The Revolution – they are awful!  General Hospital is sinking because of them.

I just don’t get the ratings for DAYS OF OUR LIVES.  The shows featuring Chandler Massey, Deidre Hall, Freddie Smith and Allison Sweeney have been Emmy worthy.  People I know that have not watched DAYS in years have begun to watch the show again. Why don’t the ratings reflect it?

General Hospital started sinking the minute they turned Jason into DUMB which is the second he started a relationship with psycho Spam.

ABC learn from what your viewers are telling you, give us back our beloved soap time! Yes GH ratings have dropped, you have made most of your viewers switch channels, I have yet to watch a single episode of the shows you replaced the other soaps with, and I will leave ALL ABC DISNEY  SHOW’S SHOULD YOU DROP GENERAL HOSPITAL! I AM A TV JUNKIE, I GET MOST OF MY FIXES FROM ABC, BUT WILL GLADLY GO GET IT FROM SOME ONE ELSE SHOULD YOU DROP GENERAL HOSPITAL!  I have watched GH since I was little, one of my first TV memories is of GH Monica and Allen, Bobbie Lila and Edward, they are not just some fantasy that some one else made up, they are FAMILY! I know I can not be the only fan who feels this way about my soap, you are losing people because you are forgetting your roots! Think of what started soaps, to get daytime viewers as you expanded your viewing day, It started with the grandmothers of today, then the mothers, and now the children, we’ve watch it as a family!  My son’s will never admit it, but I have heard from their friends when we were separated by stupid arguments, just as I once was from my Mom, they have watched GH and called me a short time afterwards. If it has happened for now 4 generations of my family, think of how many others it may have happened for.

All they do is shoot people and they just killed Robin, who wants to see that ?

Why hasn’t anyone mention the year to year gains B&B has been making. Isn’t this like the 3rd week in a row it gain 400,000 viewers from same week last year.

The problem with GH is “they won’t change anything” if something isn’t working & they are losing viewers they still stick with what isn’t working & shoving it down the viewers throat hoping to “train them to liking it”  this is what has
destroyed GH along with stale writers.  Like now Robin’s death is about Jason he’s hijacked her storyline instead of Patrick being able to grieve they hooked Anna into pimping Jason…this should  be about the Scorpios/drakes not Anna talking Patrick into another Jason surgery.   They always leech Jason to a popular storyline….

I agree. Lets give the new writers time to change stories.  Also I am excited about the characters from One Life to Live joining.

One of the problems with GH is Sam character.  The JASAM fans are so “loud” that the writers fail to see that the majority of viewers are just turning it off.  Not so much Jason, but Sam….its not a good match and viewers don’t like to see the Sam show.

GH writers need to understand that although the JASAM fans are “loud”, they are not the majority.  Please stop the Sam show ….you are seriously losing viewers because of it.

Attention:  GH writers….lose the JASAM show… even though their fans are “loud”, they are not the majority and it is killing the show!

GH lost viewers because they had switched channels once One Life To Live was taken off.  Sometimes GH is good, and sometimes not … but I always watched it because I was already tuned in to watch One Life To Live.  Sorry, but The Revolution stinks.  Not going to watch it.  Checked out The Chew early on, and that’s not worth the electricity to watch it either

I come to you as a faithfull viewer of General Hospital.
The caracters of General Hospital have been a important part of my life since I was 12 years old (I am now 38).  It has always been soothing to know that at the end of my day, I had  the people of Port Charles to help me disconnect from a hectic day.  I think that a lot of us viewers can relate to many of the stories that portrait in this amazing show. My husband and 2 sons (yes 3 viewers or the male gender!) have been joining me in my daily trips for the past 2 years and I love that it’s an extra sometihng that we can relate to and have conversations about.

When I heard that General Hospital is in competition with another show for the air time and might be taken off the air, I felt and still feel saddened and lost at the idea of such a big chunck of my life to be taken away from me.  There is no comparision between a soap opera and reality television.  And so I consider that replacing one by another is causing a lost in your  viewers.  Not everyone enjoys reality television and there is already so much of it.  Please let us live that last bit of fantasie there’s left on the tube.

I’m sure I’m not the only one coming to you with this  of request.  Please consider that if General Hospital viewers take the time to communicate to you their feelings about the removal of A GREAT SHOW that has been on the air for sush a long time and brought lots of entertainement to many of us… It’s because it’s very important to all of us…
