ABC daytime Disney Corp. set out to destroy daytime drama on it’s network and in 2011 – 2012 it’s virtually done it! The cancellations of AMC and soon OLTL is a disgrace. For generations daytime TV has entertained viewers and launched the carriers of many of then newcomers who went on to be working in other ventures of the media many becoming award winners away from daytime drama. As a viewer i’m disgusted by the cheapily produced replacement of these daytime dramas. Shows such as The Chew belong on the Food network. Only thing a viewer can do is to boycott daytime TV or for many years to come those in charge of daytime will continue to produce cheap programming with so called reality type shows. it’s all in our hands viewers no longer watch any of those type of shows and they’ll be gone. We may have lost AMC and OLTL and probably in near future GH will get the ax too. But does not mean we have too watch the uncreative cheap programming that is thrust out on daytime TV today.
Goodbye and Thanks to all involved in bringing we viewers such iconic daytime dramas as AMC and OLTL throughout the years, it was fun while it lasted. And now it’s a lot less fun with what has replaced them.

I’m so sad that they cancel OLTL I watch it every night because I work in the day time. It’s the only soap opera show I watch at night. As a fan OLTL was the only show I watched on that network. The replacement is a big JOKE. ABC you make me sick.

This is so very sad, and completely unfair what is happening to One Life To Live. Its the top rated daytime soap on ABC, and 3rd overall , for the 3 big networks. Yet, ABC is still going ahead and canceling it. Truly incredible! It really makes one wonder what kind of people run ABC, and their overall mentality. They are running their network right to the ground. There is obvious concern on ABC’s part, otherwise, they would not be advertising The Revolution (OLTL’s replacement show), like there’s no tomorrow. They are obviously worried about the horrible ratings that awaits this show. ABC hardly did any advertising for OLTL, yet, its ratings are way up – This speaks VOLUMES!
