She’s Back! Tess Lives On

ABC

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Even though Jessica Brennan (Bree Williamson) appears to be fully integrated, that doesn’t mean the end of the line for her infamous alter ego Tess. As we previously reported, fans can expect yet another visit from Llanview’s least favorite alternate personality soon. However, it may not be in quite the way you think.

With an increasingly unsympathetic Jessica maintaining control, Ford (David A. Gregory) is at his wit’s end over the loss of his beloved Tess. However, just as he is about to give up on ever getting her back on Wednesday, September 7, he conjures up a vision of Tess who urges not to give up on their love and chastises him for not fighting for her hard enough.

But will he open up to Jessica or will someone from the past interfere with his plans?  Tune in to find out. Though be forewarned, Gregory has listed his September airdates as only the 6, 7, 21, and 27.

NBC Universal

Last Friday, I had stated on my personal Twitter account that I had been hearing reports that “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” might be heading to Bravo as a part of a cable deal with Prospect Park, which is reportedly looking for a cable network to supplement costs for its online network debuting in January 2012. Although it’s taken longer than expected to get an official response from Bravo, a spokesperson has stated that “these are all just rumors.”

Disney/ABC Television Group

If you happened to be tuning into “One Life to Live” or “General Hospital” today and you lived in New York City or its surrounding areas, you may have noticed no shows! That’s because both shows were preempted by WABC, the nations most watched station and ABC’s flagship station in New York. If you don’t have SOAPnet or access to the ABC.com Full Episode Player (if you are reading this you should), then you are out of luck when it comes to viewing today’s episodes.

According to a station representative, due to coverage of Hurricane Irene, all ABC broadcasts will be preempted so the station can bring viewers wall to wall coverage of the upcoming hurricane scheduled to hit the New York/New Jersey coast by 9:00 PM Saturday evening. The station will not resume broadcasting ABC programming until an unspecified time tomorrow or until time warrants.

Today’s interruption for “One Life to Live” in particular is just the latest in a series of interruptions/preemptions that have occurred this week alone and will likely impact the series greatly when Nielsen Media Research releases ratings data covering the week of August 22-26, 2011 next week.

If you do have SOAPnet and/or access to the ABC.com Full Episode Player, “One Life to Live” and “General Hospital” will be available in their entirety as scheduled.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — If you are like most “One Life to Live” fans on the east coast, you are probably wondering what scenes you missed during the six minute “technical glitch” which caused scenes from the previous day’s episode of the soap to be aired nearly mid-day through Thursday’s episode. In case you missed the corrected airing of the episode with the missing scenes in tact on  either SOAPnet and ABC.com, Soap Opera Network is ready to show you what you missed.

The issue had been rectified in time for the Mountain and Pacific time zone broadcasts (Central time zone feeds off of the east coast feed directly) and the original episode aired as it was originally intended on SOAPnet and ABC.com.

So,whether it be Dorian’s farewell scenes with Viki, John and Natalie remembering the past, Clint and Kim getting caught up on recent events, or Brody asking Victor if he will keep his secret about Liam’s true paternity, you can see the “lost” scenes below:

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — It is full steam ahead behind-the-scenes of “One Life to Live” this week as the show works overtime to film their necessary quota of episodes before taking some time off before wrapping production on the shows TV run later this fall.

Beginning Monday, August 27, the “One Life to Live” studios will go dark for about two weeks before taping is scheduled to resume for the final stretch of the drama series’ run on ABC. The show will tape its final ABC episode in November before resuming production under Prospect Park and its online distribution outlet, for which episodes are slated to air shortly after the broadcast television series finale airs in January on ABC.

On Monday, Kassie DePavia (Blair) confirmed the fast-paced production schedule, tweeting that cast and crew were “Super busy at ‘OLTL.’ Shooting 9 shows this week. Hope everyone is enjoying the show.” Similar sentiments were echoed by Julia Davis, who does make-up for the soap and runs her own company called Julia Jovone Beauty, who tweeted that “Wow! Not tonight… Can’t believe they just extended our out time on set : ( # canceling dinner plans,” and later “Home from a long day on set. Very Grateful for all of my blessings. Time to bring this day to an end. : ).” And again today with “Morning Morning! Early start on set in Lllanview… In need of my morning Smoothie,” and “So prepared to bring this long day on set to a close. Grateful for my grind but exhausted out of my mind : ” And she throws in a little teaser for fans, saying “Ok time to break out my bruise kit on set!”

Cast and crew of “General Hospital,” which has also adopted some of “OLTL’s” cost-saving techniques, returned from a three week break in taping in July, and is currently on another one. So far this year, the soap has taken more than 15 weeks off from production. “All My Children,” which is scheduled to tape the final episode of its TV run next week, took a three week hiatus earlier this summer.
