Trevor St. John Sounds Off Regarding Co-Star's Return to 'Life'

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — During his annual fan event with his onscreen wife Florencia Lozano (Téa) last weekend, Trevor St. John (Todd) talked about his predecessor Roger Howarth‘s return to the show, and what character he thinks he’ll be playing.

St. John tells Soap Opera Digest that “I’m not familiar with his work so I can’t tell you what he’s like to work with, but I think it’s great for the show. There are all these rumors [about cancellation], so I think it will at least give it a ratings boost. I truly have no idea [what the show is planning], but I can’t imagine anything other than he’s the real Todd, because that would mean if he’s not the real Todd, then there never was a Todd and he was an imposter from the beginning! That’s the only way you can do it. Logically, speaking.”

Lozano also chimed in, joking that “Unless Téa’s the real Todd! You never know who it’s gonna be!”

As we previously reported, Howarth will begin taping his scenes in May.

So who do you think is the “real” Todd Manning?  Roger Howarth or Trevor St. John?

'One Life to Live' Leaves Kourtney Kardashian Feeling 'Like a Prostitute'

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — The reality television darling told “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno earlier this month that after her one-day acting stint on “One Life to Live” as ambulance chaser Kassandra Kavanaugh (and yes, that’s with two K’s) she “felt like a prostitute. Like, [I was] being paid to kiss someone.” And to think that for decades Hollywood has called it acting. Guess that means that hundreds of people pimp themselves out every time they appear in a television show, either daytime or primetime…we may never look at Susan Lucci, Erika Slezak, or Jeanne Cooper the same way ever again.  Well, it is the world’s oldest profession after all.  But hey, at least she nailed (no pun intended) her scenes after all. Right? Well, not exactly; instead the criticism has been so harsh that Kardashian’s own mother has been forced to jump to her daughter’s defense.

In an interview with “Access Hollywood,” Kourtney’s mum Kris Jenner defended her daughter’s recent acting debut, saying “[Kourtney] was so excited to be asked to do [the soap]… and she did a great job.” [Her sister] Kim‘s done a couple of movies and Khloe’s done a thing or two, so every time somebody offers them a different role on a different project, I think the girls are really grateful that they get to have a new experience. Nobody in this family is trying to win an Emmy for anything. We’re just out there having the time of our lives, you know?”

And what about the kiss?  Locking lips with David Fumero (Cristian Vega) couldn’t have been that bad for the heiress, who admits to Leno that “I looked him up online. I’m like, ‘I need to see this guy. Is he 99 [years-old], like, what is he?’ And he’s a very handsome guy. So that makes it easier. I probably ate a hundred mints that day. But I’ll still such a prude.”

Webster’s defines a prude as “a person who is or claims to be easily shocked by matters relating to sex or nudity and excessively concerned with being or appearing to be proper, modest, or righteous.” So is Kourtney Kardashian really a prude?  Judge for yourself, and tell us what you thought about her day in Llanview.

Therapy: The Next Phase for a Bullied Individual

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Despite Shane Morasco’s (Austin Williams) recent suicide attempt, “One Life to Live’s” bullying story arc is far from over. In fact, in some ways it is just beginning. In the latest in our series of articles on the storyline, Soap Opera Network gives you a sneak peek at what lies ahead for both Shane and his bully Jack Manning (Andrew Trischitta).

From starting therapy to returning to school to facing the bully who nearly drove him to an early grave, the coming weeks will be rather eventful for Shane as he tries to return a sense of normalcy to his life. But, just like real life, things don’t always go as planned. Expect several twists and turns as the asthmatic, comic book loving teen works to bury his past.

As viewers saw first saw on Thursday, April 7, Shane was rushed to Llanview Hospital for evaluation by his frantic parents Rex (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Gigi (Farah Fath) after they managed to talk him out of jumping off a roof. Once at the hospital, he was introduced to psychiatrist Dr. Sabrina Buhari (Tamela Aldridge), to whom he finally started to open up about his problems at school. In the coming weeks, look for Shane to continue his therapy sessions with the shrink. However, Gigi becomes increasingly concerned about what is going on with her son, and resorts to drastic action, which inadvertently results in her holding the key to unlocking another mystery.  At the same time, Rex decides to take action after nearly losing his family, and has something very important to ask Gigi.

Meanwhile, Jack Manning proves he is his father’s son this week when he flat-out refuses to tell Shane he’s sorry for the pain and humiliation he has caused him recently. Fortunately, the stubborn young man will eventually receive a dose of his own medicine, which will cause him to make a surprising claim. And what about his daddy dearest Todd Manning (Trevor St. John)?  How will he respond to his son’s misbehavior when he finally awakens from his coma? Will Rex be able to control his rage when Clint suddenly shows an interest in his grandson Shane? And just what will happen when Jack and Shane encounter one another for the first time since Jack posted a nude video of Shane on the Internet?  Tune in to find out!

Bullying continues to be a growing problem in schools and communities across the country. In an effort to bring awareness to the growing epidemic, “One Life to Live” recently partnered with STOMP Out Bullying.  After weeks of being tormented by Jack Manning and his friends, which included getting him suspended from school and stealing his inhaler just as he was suffering a severe asthma attack, the story took on a dangerous turn on Monday and Tuesday, April 4 and 5, when Shane climbed to the roof of Llanview High School in scenes filmed atop the “One Life” studios in New York City. The show has also been periodically running PSA’s during commercial breaks to further address the subject.

Aitana Rinab, who played Beth, one of Jack’s co-conspirators, reflected on the storyline earlier this year with some rather interesting tweets on her Twitter page. Rinab also posted a few pictures of her Facebook page of her and co-stars Austin Williams, Andrew Trsichitta, Frank Dolce (Brad), and Don Guillory (Vice Principal St. Clair) rehearsing their scenes on the “OLTL” set, and receiving direction from Executive Producer Frank Valentini. On a related note, Chloe Nicole played one of the girls who laughed at a naked Shane in the gym in two episodes that aired earlier this month.

              Y&R Recap: Tuesday, April 12, 2011

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — "The Young and the Restless" Episode Recap – Tuesday, April 12, 2011.

              IT HAPPENED TODAY…

An excited Lily greets Sofia as she wakes up to get ready for her wedding. Sofia admits that she's a nervous wreck. She gushes how she can't wait to be married to Malcolm. Across town, Neil and Devon are checking up on Malcolm, who is also very nervous about the big day.

Gloria and Chloe are taken to the visitor's area by one of the police officers. The two are annoyed when they see Jana waiting for them. Meanwhile, Billy, who is working on the story about Sharon's escape, received a frantic call from Esther, filling him in about Chloe being in jail.

Kevin meets Heather at Gloworm. He asks her to help him get his mom out of jail for him. Heather finds it sort of amusing. When she tells him that she'll help him, he is thankful, yet hesitant to tell her who else needs her help. When she learns that Chloe is in jail too, she quickly tells Kevin, she won't help her. She admits that the two don't get along, therefore, her helping her out won't work.

Malcolm panics when he can't locate the list he has of everything he needs for the wedding. Devon and Neil laugh at him, but offer to help him out with the list. Over at Lily's, she's helping Sofia with her make-up. The two start talking about her first time modeling and how it was the first time meeting Cane. Sofia tells her that if Lily's unsure about being at wedding because of the church, she and Malcolm can do something else. Lily assures her that today is a special day.

At the jailhouse, Gloria and Chloe are bickering on how Kevin could possibly get someone to represent them. The officer tells them they might not need a lawyer, and explains to a frustrated Jana that since she's not the homeowner of the place that was broken into, charges can't be pressed. Chloe gloats that they could get out; that all changes, however, when Billy walks in, demanding to know what Chloe is up to this time.

After teasing Neil about relishing in his bachelor status, Malcolm comments on how lucky he is to have Sofia in his life. After a few moments of gushing over Sofia, Neil quickly tells him that he's going to check on things at Gloworm. Malcolm asks Neil if he can deliver a bouquet of flowers over to Sofia. Back at her apartment, Lily makes the suggestion to have Neil walk her down the aisle. Sofia quickly rejects that suggestion, stating that it would be to awkward. She then mentions that Tucker will be walking her down the aisle.

Billy demands to know what Chloe and Gloria are up to. Chloe tries to pin their being in lock-up because of Jana's unstableness. Unfortunately for them, Billy listens to Jana's side and has had enough of the likes of the two schemers. He asks if Jana wants to press charges; Jana says while she can't do it because she doesn't own the home, he could. It's at that moment when Kevin walks in with Heather. Chloe instantly balks at her representing them. When Chloe says the wrong thing to Billy, he tells them to lock her up.

Lily offers to give Sofia something 'borrowed'. She leaves to go it, leaving Sofia to answer the door. She's taken aback to see Neil standing on the opposite end with the flowers. He compliments her and hands her the flowers, letting her know they are from Malcolm. Neil wants to say more to her but is interrupted when Lily returns. Lily hands Sofia a beautifully ornamented hair comb that Drucilla had. Stating that she wore it during her wedding to Cane, she wants to pass down the tradition and have Sofia wear it as well. Sofia is touched.

Gloria demands that Chloe take Heather up on her offer to get them out of jail. A stubborn Chloe tells her she's not going to but when Gloria pushes her again, the young woman has no choice but to accept the offer. Back at the apartment garage, Billy enters to find Kevin there. Billy is ready to call the cops on him when Kevin tells him that if he get hauled off to jail, he'll never know exactly what he's found on Jana. Billy suddenly becomes very interested.

After leaving Lily's, Neil is at Gloworm when he sees Leslie. Trying to push his thoughts of Sofia out of his mind, he asks her to be his date for the wedding. After a little of flirting with one another, Leslie accepts his invitation to be his date.

It's time for the wedding and the first to arrive are Sofia and Lily. When Sofia forgets her bouquet, she leaves to go get it, leaving Lily alone at the church steps. As her mind begins to think about the last time she was there, she feels a hand on her shoulder and is relieved to see that it is Daniel. He kindly escorts her inside the church
