In or Out? Trevor St. John at 'One Life to Live'

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Is Trevor St. John leaving "One Life to Live?" That is the question that keeps being asked, especially since his character, Todd Manning, has slipped into a coma after being shot by someone with an axe to grind with the reformed rapist. However it appears that rumors of contract negotiations and departures may have been somewhat premature.

Soap Opera Weekly is reporting that St. John is already back on set taping, which was confirmed by his co-star and onscreen daughter Kristen Alderson (Starr), who tweeted on March 21 that she was "Done with my scenes for today. Trevor and I had to do a scene 5x because we couldn't stop laughing LOL."

In an interview with Soap Opera Network, "One Life" Executive Producer Frank Valentini shared that the show was planning big spring and summer storylines for a number of characters, including Todd Manning. In the meantime, look the character to remain in his comatose state through at least April 1.

St. John joined "One Life to Live" in 2003, taking over the role of Todd Manning from Roger Howarth. He has appeared in episodes of primetime television services including "Dirty Sexy Money," "Just Shoot Me!" "Hope & Faith," and "Nash Bridges," as well as the film "The Bourne Ultimatum."

      Y&R Recap: Friday, March 25, 2011

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — "The Young and the Restless" Episode Recap – Friday, March 25, 2011.

      IT HAPPENED TODAY…

Today is Lucy's christening. While there, Jana makes a call to Primrose, asking if she's the lady that helps with babies. Primrose is suspicious but tells Jana she has an hour to meet her. When she arrives, Primrose wants to know why she wants to meet her. Jana, faking being pregnant, tells her that she needs help with her baby.

Victor gets ready to conduct a press conference. As he's preparing, Nikki arrives and begs him to come to Lucy's christening. He scoffs that he has other things more important. When Nikki tells Victor that one day their children will grow to forgive him and want him a part of his life, he laughs at her and tells her that she doesn't know what she's talking about and sends her on her way. When Heather arrives to tell him that they are all ready when he is, he tells her that he has something to take care of.

Michael and Daniel follow the lead that the investigator gave them. They wind up at a little motel. The minute Daisy arrives, Michael pounces and demands to know what she did with the baby. She tells him that she'll talk if he promises to let her go. Michael says that's not about to happen. He then steps out for a minute, leaving Daisy and Daniel alone. She asks why he's kept the fact that he's seen the baby from everyone.

Abby starts questioning Nick about what her title would be at Beauty of Nature when they get it. Nick tells her nothing is set in stone; they don't even have the company. A nosey Jack goes to Billy about what he's heard and tells him that if Victoria and Tucker work together with Beauty of Nature, Tucker will purposely leave the Abbott's out cold. Billy brags that Victoria is a Abbott now and that as far as he's concerned, it's a good business deal.

Things are tense between Katherine and Ashley at the christening. Katherine suggests she hold off on marrying Tucker. Ashley in turn blasts Kay for turning her back on her own son to support Victor. Meanwhile, Jill sees Nikki out in the hall, unaware that she's took a swig of alcohol. Jill assumes that she is waiting for Victor and rubs it in that he's got a new family. When the ceremony begins, Victoria reads a special poem, as everyone looks on: including Victor, who's standing out in the hall to see everything.

Jack in furious that no one is taking him serious that Tucker will destroy Jabot. Traci, who came home for the service lashes out that Jack's obsession with the company is what tore their family apart. Ashley tells him that he's worried over things that haven't even happened yet. When Jack brings up what their dad would do if still alive, Traci snaps that he needs to stop using their father's name every time things don't go his way in terms of Jabot. She walks away telling Jack to start growing up.

Leaving the christening, Victor is getting ready for his press conference. He gives Heather instructions to make sure that Nick, Abby and Victoria are aware of what's about to go down, stating that they are the reason why the press conference is happening to begin with.

At Billy and Victoria's, Nick gets a text from Heather. He tells those still there about the press conference Victor is about to hold. Everyone there assumes it's to announce his giving Beauty of Nature over as a part of the settlement. They are floored when Victor does the exact opposite; announcing that Newman Enterprises is going public.

Peck Makes X-Rated Debut on 'One Life to Live'

        Copy/paste not allowed. Link only.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Austin Peck's alleged off-screen antics may have helped sleaze things up behind the scenes at "As the World Turns," but it will be his on-screen performance that will do the same for "One Life to Live." On Friday, March 25, Peck made his porn-o-riffic "One Life" debut as Rick who, as SOAPnet.com noted earlier this year, "is a type that Llanview doesn't really have much of." If by that you mean a scumbag pornographic movie producer, then yes, Llanview hasn't had any of those in awhile. Then again, "One Life to Live" does seem to have a lot of pornlike characters in Llanview these day who are constantly displaying their scantily clad bodies all around town whether necessary or not, in what appears to be a not-so-subtle attempt to get a 'rise' out of a certain demographic.

In an interview with Soap Opera Digest after news of his joining 'OLTL" broke back in January, Peck revealed that "in a lot of ways, it's a compliment that they feel I can play this character. I don't know what kind of legs this character will have; hopefully, he'll have strong ones. It all depends on how they write him and what I do with what they give me. No matter what, I am going to do my best to bring it alive and have fun."

The revelation that Peck would be playing a porn producer took some "One Life" fans by surprise, considering they (falsely) assumed the SOAPnet.com quote to mean that he would be playing a gay character. That sentiment was echoed by Peck's co-star and real-life love interest Terri Conn (Aubrey), during an interview the couple did with Soap Opera Network earlier this month. "People think you're going to be a gay character," Conn told Peck. "Really? That would be cool," he replied. Of course, we can can now cross that off the list. "Yeah, cross that off the list," said Conn. "Well, you never know," she continued. "You never know," Peck said.

Although Peck's stint in Llanview will focus mainly on James Ford (Nic Robuck) and his former girlfriend (newcomer Nafessa Williams), it began, oddly enough, with Rex Balsom (John-Paul Lavoisier), who inadvertently stumbled onto the set while the filming of a scene in a porn film was commencing, as he was looking for proof at the Minuteman Motel that his own father, Clint Buchanan (Jerry verDorn), murdered Eddie Ford (John Wesley Shipp).

Julie Pinson co-starred with Peck in two daytime soaps, first in NBC's "Days of our Lives" and then again on CBS' "As The World Turns." In an interview with Soap Opera Network, at an event honoring Robert S. Woods (Bo Buchanan), Pinson was asked what acting jobs, if any, she might be interested in pursuing in the future. "I'll do anything but porn," she quickly responded. Of course, while she may be against it, that doesn't mean everyone is. "Who's doing porn?" the shocked actress asked after hearing one of her former co-stars was dabbling in the genre, if only for daytime TV. Learning it was Peck, Pinson broke out into hysterics and said "Oh that's right, I heard about that. That's funny. Well, good for him." The always amusing actress joked, "Do you think he really has to act the part or do you think he knows a little bit about it? Do you think he had to do research? I should call him and say 'hey, Austin, what kind of research did you have to do for this part?'"

During the week of March 28, look for Rick to set his sights on an unsuspecting Deanna, the new girl in town, and offer to make the teen rich and famous. Preying upon her naivety, he tries to persuade her to take a starring role in his next X-rated production. But will James give the smut peddler more than he bargained for when he learns what just what his old flame has been up to? Tune in to find out!

Austin and Terri: How 'World Turns' Made 'Life' Happen

                Copy/Paste not allowed. Link only.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Austin Peck and Terri Conn recently joined the cast of "One Life to Live." Conn in the winter and Peck in today's episode. Before getting hired on at the ABC soap, the two veteran soap stars starred on CBS' "As The World Turns" as on screen husband and wife Brad Snyder (Peck) and Katie Peretti-Snyder (Conn). In an interview with Soap Opera Network conducted at the after party for ABC Daytime Salutes Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS earlier this month, the two talk about the differences of working on "World Turns" to that of "One Life" and delve into their new characters' backgrounds.

While "As The World Turns" ended its run in September 2010, actress Terri Conn quickly nabbed the role of Aubrey Wentworth, the conniving wife of Joey Buchanan (Tom Degnan), who is the new bad girl in Llanview. Meanwhile, not much was known at the time of Austin Peck's new character, Rick, other than his storyline was a mystery. Before we get into their stories on "One Life to Live," we thought we would start things off with the question of what sets their new soap apart from their old one. "Same zoo, different animal," Peck said getting straight to the point. Conn elaborated on that by saying, "It's nice because most of it is so familiar. We have all kind of known each other from just this little world of ours. It is familiar in that way, but there are little differences. It's just getting to know a new group of people and the different ways that we work. They ['OLTL' and 'ATWT'] are both fast. I would definitely say there are different vibes, but it's been pretty similar and everyone's so cool and very appreciative to be where they are. It's just a nice work environment."

While they played husband and wife on "As The World Turns" and have oodles of chemistry on and off screen, does the two now working again on the same show mean that fans will get the chance of seeing their characters in scenes together? "Not yet," said Conn. "Not right now, I mean I don't know if there is any plans for it," Peck said. "Maybe in the future, because you don't know what is gonna happen, but right now I'm involved with a new character, Deanna, played by Nafeesa Williams. I'm excited, It is definitely very different from anything anybody has seen me do," Peck said of his character Rick. While at the time no one knew the specifics behind his characters dealings in Llanview, when it was announced in January that the actor would be joining "One Life to Live," it was recently revealed on today's episode that Rick was a porn producer, but that was not the role many had pegged him to play. "People think you're going to be a gay character," Conn told Peck. "Really? That would be cool," he replied. Of course, we can can now cross that off the list. "Yeah, cross that off the list," said Conn. "Well, you never know," she continued. "You never know," Peck echoed.

On the topic of Aubrey and her dealings with the Buchanan clan, Conn enthusiastically shared that "Aubrey has gotten herself into a bit of a pickle, because I think she really likes Llanview and she really is in love with Joey and that wasn't her intention." Of course, being a soap, a bad girl always has to have a trick or two up her sleeve, not to mention a boy or two on the side. So what about Aubrey's dealings with Cutter (Josh Kelly), who is now having an affair with Dorian (Robin Strasser)? "He's gonna make his rounds," said Conn. But does that mean Cutter is becoming the town whore? "Yeah, basically," the actress laughed.

Check back soon for an interview with Tom Degnan and Josh Kelly, who talk about the Joey switch and friendship.
