Editor's Notebook: Interviews Coming Soon

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — The last time I wrote an edition of the Editor's Notebook was August 12, 2008. A lot has changed in the nearly three years since including the cancellations of both "Guiding Light" and "As The World Turns" by CBS, the near blackout of the Daytime Emmys on broadcast television and news of the end being near for what was considered our soap opera haven, SOAPnet. One thing that hasn't changed, however, is that Soap Opera Network is still around and thriving more than ever before.

Since our relaunch in late January of this year, which included a new layout design and a new outlook, our traffic has been climbing to some of the sites best numbers in years. This is a testament to the hard work that our staff writers have put into the shows they cover day in and day out on our website and you, our readers, and your dedication to learning more about your daily daytime [and primetime] soaps. With that in mind, we have been working very hard in the last couple of weeks to reach out to the soap opera community and learn more about your favorite stars. While in the past we've done interviews and some have not been posted due to reasons we will not get into at the moment, don't fret we'll be posting those "lost" interviews in the coming weeks. But in the mean time, look for interviews from our time with the cast of "Days of our Lives" at 30 Rock where James Scott talks about the Taylor switch, Natalia Livingston and Tamara Braun, actress Devin Mills explains her new websoap "Dating in the Middle Ages," more antics and lessons from the current cast of the Off Broadway show  "Love, Loss and What Wore," and Thom Bierdz from "The Young and the Restless" talks about his book and his return to daytime's top soap.

I look forward to many more editions of the Editor's Notebook and sharing my time and experiences will all of you.

Sincerely,

Errol Lewis,
Editor in Chief
